what would have happened if vitali-lummox fight had continued?

I think Vitali woulda bled more.
Lewis usually respects guys with big power but he stood right in there and traded with Vitali up until the end which tells me Vitali doesn't have that one punch threat for him.

I woulda like to see it go on, I think Lewis would've got the decision or it may have been stopped later on because those 100 plus stitches were nothing to sniff at.

Lewis was old, Vitali shouldn't have been hit as much as he was. That's it if Vitali had been smart about it and not gotten hit as much as he did he would've walked out there with a W and no cuts but he didn't.

If an old, finished Lewis managed to hit and hurt Vitali in that fight then a prime Lewis would've beaten him much more soundly. Vitali if he wasn't riddled with injury proberbly would've gone on to dominate the HW division afterward, his loss to Byrd is a legit loss (in my eyes) because he injured himself. The loss to Lennox was legit and the 6th round was a horrible one for Vitali, the cut was due to a punch in the 3rd round not a headbutt btw otherwise if it were on a headbutt it would've gone to the cards.

i thought you were a great poster today, this comment has made me lose a bit of respect for you. Vitali exposed how a shot, out of shape Lennox Lewis was still good enough to beat him....

Face it, there is a reason Lewis retired after that. And it was not being afraid of Vitali, he had lost motivation. He wasn't up for it anymore, and who can blame him?

He is the three time heavyweight champion and has beat everyone he stepped in the ring with. All be it by way of re match with a couple.

lewis`record is based on beating old fighters and getting full credit for it as if they were prime. he is a cheat and was very smart not to rematch vitali. vitali was cheered by everyone, lewis didnt win that fight. watch the crowd reactions, lewis got lucky

lewis would've won by ud or tko. even if vitali had ko'd him in the 2nd round, that wouldn't prove lewis as overrated cuz he was 38 damn years old. but lewis would've won and I agree with his decision to retire.

exactly, he has beaten everyone that he has faced. much credit should be given to him for that.
