    It wasn't a headbutt, it was right hand. They clearly show it on a replay. IF IT WERE a headbutt the fight would've gone to the scorecards, and Vitali proberbly would've won.

    Vitali had a bad 5th and 6th round and argueably could've won the 3rd, Vitali lost end of, if that fight had of continued Vitali could've lost his eyesight, exposed his skull etc.. That type of cut would stop any fight. If it had carried on it wouldn't have gone on long because that cut would've stopped it forceably.

      Lennox is great, vitali was good. Injuries kept vitali from becoming big. If he beats Peter, he can get a measure of that back. He was/is a good fighter. I thought vitali was always better than wlad.

        It was a pro-vitali crowd. They rooted for both guys, and were disappointed the fight was stopped due to a cut that's all.

          I had the score 3-3 with lennox coming on. Both did very well considering both took the fights on a few weeks notice.

            Lewis = ATG
            V. Klitschko = Good fighter.

            Thats is, Klitschko will be remembered as a guy who fought a close fight with an old, out of shape Lewis. Lewis will be remembered as a great heavyweight.

              but when vitali salutes the crowd they are in raptures, lewis was openly booed.

                that is how lewis will be remembered but i think he is overrated. he has great names on his record but his biggest wins arguably holyfield and tyson were both well past their best. tyson was more like the guy who lost to mcbride when he fought lewis instead of the great young fighter blowing through guys with ease.

                  As far as the rooting for who they like, that is what the crowd does. People came away with respect for vitali after this fight. Lennox wasn't in the best of shape, but he was in some sort of shape. Both took the fight on little notice to please us, the fan. We should'nt try to dis either fighter. A bad cut ended the fight. Lennox had no control over that. I was laughing when vitali started jabbing lennox still wanting to fight.

                    Lennox lewis basically fell on the stool after they stopped it because he was so tired. He didn't have anything left in him, and if they let the fight continue he probably would have been ko'd even by the one eyed warrior vitali. Don't get me wrong both guys look kind of tired, but Lennox looked extremely tired compared to the guy that could see only out one eye. Someone post the video of Lennox basically passing out on the stool when they stop it, so you know I'm not biased.

                      I wouldn't go as far as to call lennox an all time great, but he was a great fighter. Fighter have 3 levels in my book. From highest to lowest: Legend, ATG, and great. Lennox did defeat every fighter he faced, but he was stopped twice by one punch. He did win the rematches. Lennox is great, Marvin hagler is an all time great, ali is a legend.
