            How the tide has turned.

Since V Klitschko announced his return I am somewhat surprised at the huge outpouring of support and confidence that keep coming. Before, it used to be that he was scared stiff of Rahman, and he was a steroid-bound freak. EVERYBODY jumped on his head.

My concern is that rarely can anyone come to an impoertant fight successfully after 2 years inactivity. Actually less, since he was deep in training for McCline, not too long ago, but ring-rust is a killer. The consolation is that neither Klitschko (especially since the Sanders fight) has ever come into the ring unless fully prepared.

Does anyone remember the negatively aggressive comments that Lennox Lewis used to make almost daily about him? (about both of them) After their fight, in which Lewis was given a miraculous gift of an unneccessary doctor's stoppage, which saved his title for him, Larry Merchant's interview exposed his grudging opinion. I recall that he was still shaking, knowing the stoppage came just when he was finished, on his last legs. And, confirming this, whenever Klitschko was fighting, his oppnent would be the recipient of an earful of "tips" fromLewis, on how to beat Klitschko, either Klitschko.

Lewis was jealous of their spotless reputations. Still is.

Unfortunately, he'll only be back for 1, maybe 2 fights. He's too old, really, to continue for very long. I'm sure he'd be competitive for several years if he wanted to, but I don't know if he'll keep his reflexes and speed for much longer (if he still has them now).

Make what weight? Heavyweight is, so far as I know, unlimited.

I agree. I think it'll be somewhere between Johnson and Williams.

If (and that's a big IF) Vitali makes it to the ring, he will murder Peter. Vitali's left jab/hook/uppercut will surprise the hell out of Peter.
