WBC heavyweight champion Sam Peter was looking to stage a tuneup bout in July before meeting mandatory challenger Vitali Klitschko in either September or October. The plans didn't map out as planned. There was some talk of Peter facing Audley Harrison or Matt Skelton in an interim-defense that would have taken place in a UK venue, but the now it appears Peter is heading straight to Klitschko. I think, if Vitali is 100%, then the fight will more than likely only go to about the 4th or 5th round. Peter will either get brutually knocked out or just beaten to a point where he can't continue. -
I just hope they soon have the Vitali vs. Peter fight finalized and official. We've been waiting too long for Vitali's return.Comment

This irritates me on so many levels.
#1) Theres almost no chance Vitali will actually be able to fight...he'll **** up his back again or something...and there will be delay after delay after delay. This will just waste Peter's time and ours. VITALI, ITS TIME TO PASS THE TORCH.
#2) Why the hell would Peter be fighting Vitali anyways? Wladimir is the champ, Peter is the #1 contender, and Vitali hasn't accomplished anything in the ring for four years.
#3) What if Vitali actually manages to fight, and actually manages to win? He'll never fight Wladimir, and you can forget about a unified heavyweight title for about another decade.
