How is Joe Beating Pavlik at 168 or 175, a HUGE deal?!?

    I re-evaluate my assessment...

at 168 the fight would be fair, after remembering the JT rematch was at 166...

at 175, i dont think it would be a great win

at 168.. it WOULD be a great win....

    I agree.

Calzaghe should fight Jones, Tarver or Dawson instead of Pavlik. Big risk, but nothing to gain with fighting Kelly.

Apparently it's ok if Joe does it, but when Hopkins KO'd Trinidad it doesn't count.

I'd rather have him fight a young lion with heart who's not afraid to fight. Rather than an oldie like Jones or Tarver who would go in a shell if the figtht is already over.

            Here we go...

Pavlik is a HUGE Middleweight. Trinidad was a puny LMW.

Don't be starting with this now.

Kelly is the best fight because

                1) He the highest ranked American there is that Joe could fight.

                2) He is a Ring champ and undefeated.

It would be even cooler if Joe could do it at MW (three weight simultaneous Ring champ anyone?) but he can't so it has to be at 168. Kelly has three big wins in his career, one of which was at 166, so SMW is the place to make the fight at.

I personally wouldn't consider it a massive deal on its own, but like I say, Kelly is the proven best young champ he could fight now and that'll be Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins AND Pavlik so THREE young prime champs plus the best LHW.

Not ****ing bad for one of dem yuros!

for me to clear this up to everyone

this is not a DISS to Joe Calzaghe.....

Im simply asking... fighting someone who fights 1 - 2 weight classes below you, isnt exactly... a HUGE win....

                    i think thats reasonable...
