he decided to wait untill the competition got old

he was able to take easy fights and stay relatively fresh towards the latter part of his career

Don't underestimate Pavlik. He's a proven champion with already a great resume in his brief tenure at the top. I think Calzaghe will probably win, but Pavlik can definitely win this fight.

              Other way round son.

Competition waited till they were so old they could always claim "I would have beaten him in my prime, I am 100% sure"

Even RJJ saw something in Joe he wanted no part of...

                LOL

Roy Jones was knocking people out left right and centre and was far and away the best fighter in the world and u think he was apprehensive about facing a man who struggled with a shot Robin Ried who had just lost his title to the World Class Thulani Malinga

he also struggled badly against Sakio Bika and a 43 old B-Hop

Ried was a bum he won his title off Vincenzo Nardiello a complete fraudster of World Champ

Do you honestly believe Cal could beat a prime RJJ? Honestly, man. All bull**** nationalistic pride aside.

                      Nope.

Although it wouldn't be the blowout Americans like to believe it would, Roy wins this one handily, maybe 115-113 or 116-112.

But that doesn't change the fact that offers were made to Roy for Joe to fight him over there, when he was in his prime, and he wanted none of it. He has admitted as much in the past as well.

Something along the lines of "why get paid to fight a dangerous guy whenj I can nearly as much fighting someone I know I can beat?"
