Jones has a perfect style, he stays out of range and uses lead right hands. Pavlik DOES NOT have the style OR skill set to beat Calzaghe and any real boxing fan would know that. Pavlik is made for Calzaghe.

Calzaghes wins have been against people who haven't been able to answer for his counter punching, work rate, and lateral movement and style. Joe is a great boxer, but regardless of what his fans say, it is pretty well understood that his resume isn't great. If it were, he would have retired after Hopkins. Even Joe says he "wants two or three more big fights to solidify my legacy." Because he doesn't have a legacy yet. He is at the precipice of a legacy.

          Bernard Hopkins has a legacy.

Beating a young and powerful and hungry Pavlik could do that. But lets be honest, Calzaghe looked poor against Hopkins. He needs a real challenge. We know hes a gifted boxer, but outside of Wales, it hasn't been proven.

Joe didn't prove himself in the Lacy fight?

That was in Manchester, in ENGLAND.

There are many more, but let's assume he is an idiot and meant the UK.

He has fought outside the UK twice, once stopping Mario Veit and the second time against Hopkins.

He stopped Veit for the second time, nothing else was really expected.

              So now to Hopkins.

Can you tell me the last boxer who looked good against Hopkins?

Exactly, nobody looks good against Hopkins.

Lacy aint ****, You make it seem like he was undisputed ruler of the entire universe or something.

Calzaghe: "Ya know mate, at the end of the day, I've beaten huge names, Manfredo, Lacy, Kessler and now I'm a legend killer in slaying the executioner."

That's all this guy says, if that's his bread and butter.......... it's pretty sad, my friend.
