No convensional boxer is going to beat Calzaghe

Pavlik is an outside fighter.Pavlik will be moving up slightly. I agree with what everyones saying.
However, the logic being that every fighter has a punchers chance, I feel Pavlik will have more than that coming up against Calz, I truely feel that he may be able to walk through some of Claz shots and get on the inside and break him down. It's unlikely as every is saying, Calz is a class act and very slippery. But I've just got a feeling could surprise a few people and drop Joe at some stage with more than just a lucky punch.
Calzaghe will tear him up on the inside.
Lots of people think Pavlik will KO Joe, but it would probably happen only 1 time out of 100, if even that.
People talk about Kelly not respecting Joe's slaps, but it is in fact he who needs to land the bombs to gain Joe's respect. Joe will be fearful of what he is able to do, but that is not enough to get an advantage over Joe. To do that, you need to land some genuine bombs and hurt him early, not just a flash KD like Hopkins did.
If Kelly can't get Joe's respect early, Joe will be all over Kelly like a rash for 12 rounds, pushing him back, outworking him and basically bullying him to a wide decision.
To beat Joe you need to stop him working, and unless he lands a bomb early, Pavlik doesn't have the tools to do this.Comment

No Offense, but your post is a load of ****!! I highlighted two parts that are just plain wrong. First you say Pavlik needs to get set, that is way off. The guy just tosses out his punches and does not need to set a thing, no windup, he telegraphs nothing. You also say Kessler is better like it is so matter of fact? How in the hell can you determine this? By watching them fight different opponents. Sorry but that is to be determined. Pavlik has proven himself over and over again and is still unbeaten. Every opponent he faces thinks he is easy to beat and they will solve his simple puzzle, but he just keeps steamrolling them.Pavlik cant beat Calzaghe, no way.
Pavlik needs to get set to get his shots off and all Calzaghe needs to do is keep his lead foot outside Pavliks lead foot while moving away from the right hand and Pavlk can do nothing.
Kessler is better fighter than Pavlik, he's alround better but just not as busy.
People are saying Pavliks workrate is the difference manker though. How is Pavliks workrate going to be effective though if he does not get set to get his shots off?
Calzaghe will win this fight. Im thinking 117-111.
Try putting some thought into your posts instead of running on emotion. Pavlik is unbeaten against tough competition for a reason. Good thing Joe is smarter than you, or Pavlik would kick his ass. Pavlik fights differently than most guys and he will need to be taken very seriously. Trust me Joe will take him very seriously.Comment

But Joe has been more proven over a longer period against better opposition (Calzaghe was fighting number 1 ranked guys while Pavlik was fighting nobodies, remember)Comment

No mate, your post is a load of ****. (no offence)
Pavlik fights in straight lines, when Calzaghe is moving on the outside away from Pavliks shots Pavlik is having to adjust at all times to try and get shots off.
Its a very simple but effective way for soutpaws to beat guys who fight in straight lines. Watch Quintana vs Williams 1 and Calzaghe vs Kessler for a guide of this.
Again, this will be an easy fight for Calzaghe, Pavlik is tailor made for him.Comment

Think what you like and instead of attacking my sig why dont you counter the points you disagree with?1) Even though I think Pavlik might lose against Joey, I seriously doubt it'll be by such a wide margin. Kelly's way too consistent and determined to let the fight slip away THAT bad
2) Nice sig, if I didnt know any better I'd think Hatton was tough and Calzaghe was truly a legend killer.
A "legend killer" is someone who beats a legend in their prime
Eubank - over the hill when he fought Joey
Hopkins - please see above
Jones - Past his prime (and jones will still beat him)
So i dont see the logic behind your sig, but hey, to each his own.Comment
