I've watched most of Mikes fights and I don't remember him ever getting hit in his earlier fights. In fact, I don't remember many of his opponenets doing anything but covering up and trying to survive. I can only remember one guy (his name escapes me) who actually came in the ring throwing punches trying to win.

I know who you are talking about.......He was big dude and he tried going toe to toe. He made it a couple rounds then got viciously Ko'd...Well that sounds like most of tysons fights....The guy you speak of did land hard shots on mike but he walked right through them......It was tysons lack of training and laziness that gaveway to a weak chin...He relied on his early ko to end the fight...

              EXACTLY!!

Mikes head movement was that good early on in his career he hardly ever got hit. That poster is obviously full of ****. Just ignore him.

Tyson came into that fight completely un-trained... he had no head movement, no combination punching, he had been partying in japan the whole time, his trainer had died... buster douglas did NOT fight the same prime Mike Tyson

                    Thats true.

When people were taking his best shots and giving theirs back he couldnt handle it. He wasnt ring smart enough to change his tactics when they weren't working. Probably because his only tactic was to try and walk through his opponent. Thats the reason Lewis just picked him apart with the jab in 2002 and there was **** all he could do about it. He didn't know how to.
