People always talk about a "prime" Mike Tyson, well that Tyson got set on his ass by Buster Douglass of all people. That's right, BUSTER DOUGLASS. The only two elite fighters Mike ever fought KO'd him without really much effort at all.

Tyson had no chin, he had no heart, and he had no stamina. What he did have was the mental fortitude of a 3 yr old.

When he lost, he didn't just lose, he got straight up KO'd.

"Iron" Mike Tyson never existed. The man is a myth.
He did fight really good fighters. its just that they didn't have a reign on the hw division long enough to be considered great. Tillis was considered one of the fastest boxers that the hw divison ever saw. some even went as far as calling Tillis the next Ali(that was crazy I know) that shows how some of his opponents might've been greater had tyson not been there. he held all 3( at the time) major belts of that era. He fought all the contenders and made them look like amateurs. That isn't his fault. He could've beaten any hw in any era in the 80's.

had ali not gone to jail for 3 years, frazier and foreman wouldn't have been able to build themselves up enough to be considered really great fighters cuz they would've probably faced a prime Ali and lost. Ali probably wouldn't have been considered the greatest as a result.

But when he did his chin didn't hold up ... And the times it didn't hold up? He struggled to get off the canvas, Not only struggled but looked like he didn't want to.

Not sure what you mean about stamina though, Mike was in amazing shape.
Tyson was getting hit with bombs round after round by Douglas and Lennox. I think that's a suburb chin. How many ppl can take clean shot after clean shot for an average of like 9 rounds?

Tyson is one of my all time favorite fighters.

I'm a boxing fan and unlike you I don't hate on fighters for no reason. At least you like Linares that's probably the only good thing I could say about you.

I love watching his older fights but he was never the fighter people claim he was.

                    I agree too.

He was a great fighter but can not be compared to the ATGs like Ali, Foreman etc.

u obviously dont have the slightest clue of what went down before tyson douglas..

teddy atlas and i quote "tyson literally did not train for that fight... he was out on the town the night before the fight.. and when i say he didnt train for the fight... i mean LITERALLY... he believed in his own myth"

his trainer had died, he lost his head movement, he wasnt in shape or trained...

all things considered... tyson showed nothing BUT heart in that fight
