I'm not talking about Floyd's P4P status, I never said that, I'm talking about his popularity outside the ring. Really he doesn't deserve P4P status even when he was last active. His last two fights were not even a true challenge for him.

Actually dlh fought him very tough. Legally, and without fighting him dirty, he gave floyd his toughest fight. Castillo just low-blowed him and fought dirty. Dlh did very well against Floyd. So did hatton. To say Floyd doesn't deserve pfp status is comical. These same critics say shane was favored to beat cotto, and then turn around and say floyd was favored to beat dlh. Only these critics try to point to some vote or whatever it was they use as cheap evidence. lol Cotto and floyd were picked to stay undefeated when they faced shane and dlh by true fans.

It hasn't backfired at all. It has just proved my point, that the hatred for Floyd is at an insane level.

This "hatred" or criticism for Floyd is coming from fans of the sport. The fans who should be most opinionated on the matter because they follow the sport.

Now ask, why do people hate?

People don't hate on something that is not in some way a threat to them.

Please explain how Floyd Mayweather is a threat to me. This is the INTERNET. I'm telling you right now that Floyd doesn't bother me none outside of reading bull**** news about him retiring and fighting leprechauns for bowls of platinum Lucky charms. So explain this "threat" that Floyd embodies that has me so worried...

The people who hate on Floyd do so because his qualities --- the skills and courage he has demonstrated on his way to the top, combined with his "yard" persona and his pride as an elite black athlete --- make them very uncomfortable.

The people who "hate"/criticize Floyd do so because he got to the top and then squatted not because he's an "Elite Black Athlete". They're mad because he ran his mouth a lot and squatted some more. Called out names, proclaimed he'd be Fighter A and B in stunning fashion, deemed himself the G.O.A.T. and then RETIRED. You're making this about race - what does this have to do with him being a black athlete? If Miguel Cotto got to the top and started pulling party tricks out of his hat saying people weren't important enough to fight I would feel the EXACT same way about him and that's a fact.
