Does Quintana deserve/Do you want to see: The Rubber Match?

Do you want to see it?

The 1st fight: Quintana clearly, and with a fair amount of ease outboxes Williams to take a good, clear UD.

The 2nd fight: Williams catches Quintana and Carlos never recovers. Williams wins by KO1.

Quintana was not dominated in the 2nd fight, just got caught and never recovered. I thought it was an either way fight, and didn't really have a pick, but the outcome suprised me. Quintana has the skill to keep it close, and beat, or lose closely to Williams if he doesn't get caught/keeps his hands up. Who wins the 3rd fight?

A fair pick. You see a technical fight? One sided fight? Who is winning up till the KO.

I picked Williams by Dec, but I think that Williams by KO and Quintana by Dec are likely enough.

I see a more technical, careful fight from Quintana. Which could actually limit his chances of duplicating the first fight. Because his aggression might be sapped from fear of Paul's power.

Does he deserve a rematch? Sure. Do I really want to see it? Not really.. I wouldn't mind, though.

Quintana by Decision, the way I see it Williams will come overconfident just like the first fight and Quintana will outbox him once more, the thing is Williams is already overconfident, he called out the big names like if he could destroy them (he may defeat Margarito but I'm sure Cotto could outbox him or Knock him out with a clean left hook to the body). So Quintana by either Split Decision or Unanimous Decision.

I wouldn't mind seeing a third fight. I got Williams.

People think montell griffin was winning the first fight... and what did roy do in the rematch?

              CLEAR UP THE CONFUSION.

              Same thing happened with Paul.

Nobody wanted a montell rubber match, and we dont need a Quintana rubber match.

When you beat someone by 4 points, then they knock you out in 2 minutes.

****, Ill take it though... line up the bets again...

              Case Closed.

So I guess it's fair to say that Paul Williams can have an off match, but Quintana cannot?

Just remember in boxing that all it takes is one punch to completely turn the tide of a match.

As for the arguing of whether a knock out or a UD is better? A knock out is just more pleasing to the fans and seems more decisive -- but a clear UD victory means the same thing. It's still one fighter outclassing another.

That said, it's unfair to say that Quintana doesn't deserve a rubber match based on these reasons.

You can't even compare this to the Montel/Jones fight seeing as it was debatable as to who was winning the first fight -- although Jones clearly was winning in my opinion. The difference remains in the fact that Jones is notorious for playing down to the level of his competition and carrying them through fights. Paul Williams is not.

Griffin-Jones I and II is not a valid comparison. Roy controlled the first fight and was on his way to knocking Griffin. Paul pretty much got dominated in his 1st fight.

Do you want to see it?

Boof: no, Quintana was ko'd. HE has to work his way back

Quintana was not dominated in the 2nd fight,

Boof: Then what do you call it? He was so competitive in the first fight. Knocked out in the second. Now he has to prove his worth against other opponents
