they're just trying to get some hype. it took him a long time , a friendly ref and some great luck to ko james thompson. james thompson got ko (in 1 i think) by a one-dimensional japanese pro wrestler (not olympic/national wrestler , japanese WWF/WWE pro wrestler).

all talk to get people to talk about kimbo. he struggled with a tomato can. to put it in saturday's boxing prospective...... james thompson isn't even on the level (in mma) that gary lockett was in boxing. gary lockett was a tuneup for pavlik. thompson was a sacrificial lamb.

that's gotta be wrong. i looked up some articles on how much the ufc pays and it's pathetic. i read on there that randy made around 200k a fight and less than that if he losses. i don't know how much elite xc fights but if they pay that much no wonder a lot of ufc guys wanna leave. dana white sticks them LOOOOOONG term contracts that's why.

i saw an article where the whole ufc card (all the fighters that night) got paid $300-400K altogether. small time card you say? the ufc made around $3 million or so just from the gate. i know we make fun of those guys and you might think what they do is crap but you have to feel bad for these guys making $10K for a fight that they could get seriously hurt in , while the company makes millions!

Kimbo couldnt land a knee of Wlad, he is 6'6".

If wlad trained for a few months and build up his takedown defense, this fight would not even be a competition.
