Calzaghe even walked into those punches and he didn't go down.

exactly correct. kelly is my boy, i favor joe by a bit at this point, but at the same time i sure as hell would never count either man out. they re both undefeated champions ffs.

Many assume Calzaghe cannot punch hard based on only seeing recent fights of his. Calzaghe was a renown hard hitter with a high KO record earlier in his career before he had serious hand injuries, sometimes braking them, leaving him with fragile hands and unable to use the same power now.

So he is a lot more powerful, and capable of harder shots than we see today. A shame really, if he was able to hit as hard as he did and can, he'd be unstoppable imo. It's testament to Calzaghe's elite ness that he manages to win without that old asset of his.

          Why is it absurd?

Because Pavlik has faced bigger punchers and taken their best shots flush?

So has Calzaghe, yet it seems pretty fair to suggest that Pavlik will KO him early and easily.

Ofcourse Calzaghe can KO Pavlik. Hell, if it wasn't for Hopkins taking a dive or Kessler getting a lucky break from the ref he could be 45-0 (34)

Is this a joke or very bad comedy. Pavlik has not got what it takes to beat Kessler or hopkins let alone Calzaghe......if they fought 50 times,he will get smashed to pieces 49 of them.To even suggest he could ko JC is absurd. This fiht is overrated already.

                This is good though.

When Pavlik receives the kind of beating that can end a weak willed man's career, people will finally have to give the credit that Calzaghe is due.

Of course they won't, they will all say "Joe only beat Pavlik because *insert prefered bull**** of the week here*"

Calzaghe has the ability to beat Pavlik with his movement, speed, workrate and his great chin. When it comes to power it is all Pavlik. Calzaghe can't **** like Pavlik can.

Calzaghe's slaps, sorry I mean punches, aren't as strong as Pavlik's.

                      He doesn't need to.

JT put Kelly down hard, and Kelly was hurt, this was no flash knockdown or getting caught cold.

Calzaghe can punch easily as hard as JT, and will be hitting Pavlik with a lot regularity.

A lot of people don't realise that Joe does still load up slightly on one or two punches in his flurries. He throws the flurry, then when his opponent is confused by the angles he uses, he sits down on one or two, then continues using speed punches to finish the flurry.

How else do you think he earned the respect of the hard hitting Lacy? Or Kessler? Or Hopkins? Or anyone else he has ever fought?

Joe can ****, don't be fooled.
