whats your point? at least he took the risks... he went up to heavyweight... and RUIZ COULD of knocked him out.... then he lost 20 lbs of muscle and went down to face the best LHW at the time, besides himself... and DID pull the fight out the first time on heart alone, because he was dead tired by round 4 - 5.... thats more than i can say for floyd..

What's my point? I didn't know I was being unclear so I'll spell it out for you. Roy got KO'd twice and people will remember that.

Make all the excuses you want. The reason you can't say that for Floyd is because one guy has ever really truly tested him and that was JLC. You don't think Floyd showed heart in that fight?

OH, and I wouldn't label Roy as a risky fighter. He was exactly the opposite. He fought guys he knew he could beat and if Ruiz wasn't the title holder Roy would never had attempted it.

who had better upperbody movement and foot movement?
          Mayweather
who had better timing and accuracy?
          Mayweather
who punched sharper and precise to the body and the head, whether in combo form or potshot form?
          Jones
who fought off of the ropes better?
          Mayweather
who had better defense overall including countering?
          Mayweather
who was more powerful and faster overall?
          Jones
who was more dominant in their prime?
          Equal
who punched to the body better?
Mayweather is probably the most underrrated bodypuncher in the sport.
who had the better straight right hand lead and left hook and jab upstairs and downstairs?
          Righthand lead - Mayweather
          Left Hook - Jones
Jab (considering Jones' didnt jab) - Mayweather

who knovked out their opponents better and won ud better?
          Equal
who was just overall more skilled?
Mayweather, because Mayweather is a lot more technically sound than Jones, on top of his natural gifts.

Anything you can LEARN goes to Mayweather, anything you are born with (minus chin, possibly, I dont believe Roy had china, just Floyd seem to have a more solid one) goes to Jones

I am not trying to come across as anything. If it comes off on screen as an ass, than I apologize. But, I had written two posts about my thoughts about Roy and you asked "What's your point?" TBH, I thought you were being ass.

Either way, it's obvious that you and I have differing opinions on this. Even though I disagree I can respect your opinion as such.

My whole take on Roy is that I wish he would have done a little more during his prime (i.e. fight and beat Darius). I think Roy would've beat him, but I would still like to see that W on his record.

Lastly, I can admit I am a little biased against Roy as he toyed with a lot of his opponents and that's not the kind of stuff I like to see in the ring.

                    • and i admitted in your sig thread, that i may have overlooked the fact that roys speed=power where hearns had more raw power, which silencer said, and i agreed with him and said maybe i didnt look at the full spectrum, so i was probably wrong on what i said about the power difference

no need to put it in your sig... as i already came out and said i was wrong...

although, if u feel the need to keep it there, its your prerogative
