It IS an easy question. But you got it completely wrong.

    In his prime, Jones was...

The best combination puncher in the game

The best body puncher in the game

The best footwork and guage of distance in the game

Even had the best defense in the game but I'll go with Floyd here because he uses a far more traditional style.

The art of boxing is to hit and not get hit. No one has done that better than Jones in the past 20 years.
IMO there is a difference between skill and raw talent. I think you are forgeting how offensively good Mayweather used to be at lower weights too.

Yes, there is a difference. And I just pointed it out to you - listing several skills Jones possessed that were greater than Floyd's.

And as good as Floyd was offensively - in the lower weights - Jones was an absolute beast at 168. It was only when he moved to 175 that he began potshotting as often (something Floyd does more now at 147). Jones could rip off multiple punch combinations in a row to the head and body...seriously, I love both fighters but it's Jones hands down.

In light of how you chose Mayweather for every other topic, doesn't it strike you as odd then that Jones beat his opponents far more convincingly when it went the distance, and also knocked out more of them? How can this be, when he's so much more inferior in ALL of those other areas?

Put simply, Roy was the more athletic of the two and Floyd is the more polished. I think history will remember Floyd as the better fighter as long as he does not stumble in the last part of his career.

take all of these questions into account before answering the thread please.

Roy all the way. He was stronger, more aggressive, threw more combos, and got more KO's.
