it's subjective. both fighters were great. no answer is correct and none is wrong. just goes by opinion.

gatti? sorry gatti was a solid , tough fighter but floyd is no ward. the outcome of that fight and how it went was foreseen by everyone who wasn't just hoping/dreaming/yearning/begging for a gatti win.

Everyone has their views, Idiot. There is no such thing as right and wrong. A lot of people don’t think Ali is the greatest, does that mean they don’t know anything about boxing. NO, it’s their view.

i have both fighters' professional careers on dvd and vhs.
i love chris rock. "men are only as faithful as their options. we can stay away but if you chase us , we're just not that fast!"

that's fine. like i said it's a matter of opinion. floyd reminds me of a prime roy somewhat and how their careers have panned out is remarkably similar as well.

okay. going back to your 1st response to me, claiming that floyd mayweather probably has a better jab, just goes to show how much you followed each man's career, and in hindsight, will make me arguing against you that much easier. roy jones jr had one of the worst jabs i have ever seen of any fighter. floyd jabbed much better, hell 10000000 times better to the body and upstairs than roy did, no contest in this department. floyd threw one of the best jabs and he countered with his jab very effectively, much more than roy jones. go back and watch him against justin jukko.

oh, don't worry, the rest is on the way kid.

There are some opinions that can be wrong -- there are right and wrongs in certain situations. Opinions can't be wrong -- within reason.

You can't reasonably say that Floyd has been more dominant in his prime than Roy Jones Jr. was considering, literally, Roy didn't drop a round in how many years? Whereas many believe Floyd lost his first fight against Castillo (regardless of whether he was injured or not), had a fairly close fight against Castillo in the rematch, was pressured by Hatton, lost most of the opening rounds to Zab Judah...etc. In what way shape or form has Floyd been more dominant -- according to the judges he nearly lost to ODLH, lol.

wtf is that supposed to mean?

Jones had a very good jab, watch the Ruiz and McCallum fights.

I am pretty sure I said that Floyd had the better jab, seeing as RJJ barely ever threw it, so how does that mean I wasn't following their careers? Lol "kid".

Yes, this is why I said that Floyd probably has a better jab -- it's more due to the fact that RJJ barely used his jab so it's hard to tell just how effective of a weapon it could have been. When he did use it it was nice and all, but he didn't use it enough.

Yeah, I have no problem with people saying Mayweather possesses the better jab but Jones' jab is definitely not one of the worst ever, he just didn't use it much.

They both don't rely too much on the jab.
