Yea, that is the sad part...but had he answered the question and Steele let him finish, would Chavez have made it to him in 2 seconds?

my bad...I didn't know that this was basically a RE-post...I hear you though brah.

Not a chance. JCC wasn't in a neutral corner, and that is the referee's job.

Because he didn't respond. Whether he was looking at Duva or whether he was truly out doesn't matter. He simply didn't respond, thus the ref stopped the fight. Everybody (except Chavez nuthuggers) knows that it was a ****ty way for the fight to end, but it's not Steele's shouldn't change his actions whether there's 4 seconds left in a fight or 4 rounds.

There was actually about 5 seconds left, it took about 3 seconds for the timekeeper to realize what was going on. So,yes, its possible he would have gotten cracked one more time.

probally because taylor was done/the ref isn't the time keeper

even if it was about 5 seconds...would he have made it to Taylor in enough time to land a shot? Taylor could have moved back as Chavez came forward and could have killed that time...don't you think?

Because Taylor didn't answer him when he asked him if he was OK because Duva jumped up on the ring apron distracting Taylor.
