    If you look 8 fights back with Margarito, Margarito not only looked horrible, but he was outclassed against Daniel Santos.

    Therefore lets make a better comparison;

    Was Margarito's win against Emmanuel Clottey bigger than Cotto's win over Carlos Quintana? Both of these fights happened in December of 2006.
    UUMM I think his name was Josh

        Co-sign. After 9 he was up 6 to 3. Marg got ripped off that time.

          Your right, my emotions got to me.... You ignored the question though, Was Margaritos win against Clottey as significant as Cottos win against quintana?

            yes because clottey would give ANYONE a tough fight.

              Sorry dude but considering this answer, you are extremely biased and I wont waste my time with you.

              Quintana was DESTROYED by Cotto, Clottey gave Marg a very difficult fight, how is a close UD more significant than complete dominance over a fighter who happens to be a current champion and easily beat a fighter that Marg lost to?

                Margaritos victory over Cintron looks better on paper, But when you analyze both fights, Cottos victory is better.

                I might be a bit biased cause i ****ing love Torres

                  Torres came back after the Cotto fight and won a title, beating Mike Arnaoutis and Kendall Holt along the way.

                  Cintron won a belt, but his opposition was against Mark Suarez, Jesse Feliciano and Walter Matthysse.

                  I'd say Torres has shown that he was a much more spirited combatant than Cintron.

                    I didnt say it was just as dominant. I meant it meant just as much as the Quintana fight. Clottey beats CQ IMO. Clottey is just as good as CQ if not better. CQ will box and had light hands. Clottey stays in front of you, gives you pressure, and is faster. Margs beats them both. Margs and Cotto is a toss up.
