I don't see how rematching a drag queen and a fat man (having already beaten both) is going to make the fight bigger?

The best way to bring new fans into the sport is to have the best fight the best and rely on the fans talking round their friends and family into watching it also.

Good job insinuating I don't know boxing by the way, when you are one of a handful of die hard nuthuggers who support Floyd on this. You're a real fine one to judge.

Again you fail to use rationale. For the record as Ive said so many times I WANT TO SEE THE FIGHT, but in the meantime as Floyd fights DLH and whoever again, if Cotto keeps winning the fight will be huge later.

I just do not think it is fully ripe yet.

Sometimes when you wait for things to get ripe they get spoiled instead (Lewis-Bowe). Boxing is a tough business and fights get derailed for all kinds of reasons. Cotto is taking a very dangerous opponent next. If he loses, a fight with Mayweather will never be as big as it is now. The DLH rematch will make good money, but a Hatton rematch will be really pushing their luck. After that Cotto is by far the most lucrative option. Even if Margarito wins impressively, it can't ever be as big as a Cotto PPV would. Then Floyd will be sorry that he waited so long to pick from the ripe tree.

Who can Cotto fight to increase his earning potential?

Who is a bigger draw than Cotto at welterweight, that Cotto can use to build up his name?

          Please tell me...

No, he wouldn't, it would be his dream come true.

He can declare Cotto a bum who was never worthy anyway, and say Margarito still isn't a big enough draw and that way he gets out of fighting either of them.

            Mayweather makes me sick.

Thats the thing, he has fought good names and he still isnt well known, thats when you have to blame the promoter for not doing his job and a little blame to Cotto, even though he doesnt speak english well, you have to have some kind of personality if youre trying to appeal to the masses. Fighting DLH will get him big exposure, thats who he really needs to target.

I knew that was the root of all this as with most in your shoes, you just dont like him and youre mad. But still dont be bias.

The only reason I said he makes me sick is because I have heard a number of different excuses as to why Floyd doesn't have to fight Cotto. That's not boxing, that's bull****. I'm a fan of boxing, not bull****.

Floyd isnt doing anything to bring Boxing to the mainstream, he's doing everything to bring Floyd Mayweather to the mainstream. Nothing he is doing right now is going to convince people to invest their money in watching other fighters other than Floyd. Especially after Baldomir and DLH. both were considered to be let downs by the casual public. Hatton was decent.

the only business Floyd is growing is his own. He said it himself. "I dont love Boxing". So why keep lying like he's trying to be the jesus christ of boxing?

That is entirely possible it is a risky game to play. It can be worth the risks though, in my eyes it is but i am a patient man i can understand why it irritates people. To me it is not a black and white issue aslong as the fight happeans sooner or later. I want this fight to be huge though and not just some big fight, i want this to be the big fight of the decade.
