Ever notice how all the current Calzaghe fans joined in Nov 2007?

But Diego "Ray Robinson was a bum because he didn't have a 0 on his record" ****o posting about being on a "bandwagon"?

I'm about to bump a thread... I'm sure you can guess which one...
Already bumped it today. I recommend the "Jeff Lacy poll" thread. Quite amazing posts in that one.

I have a problem with them talking like they've followed boxing for years. These guys are saying **** like Calzaghe could beat a prime Roy or Toney or Hopkins from 160-168 and getting away with it. That I have a problem with.

New fans are great and I welcome them.

But I refuse to treat them like they know anything about the sport with only 6 months under their belt.
Open a few threads in NSB. Look at the join dates. The fact is that most posts on here are from people who joined in the past year, it's not just the Calzaghe fans. Besides, just because people join at a certain time doesn't mean that's when they started watching boxing.

By the way, it seems that UK fans can't win. If we rate Amir Khan highly, we're hyping another overprotected limey with a padded record. If we wait until a fighter has proven his quality by beating top opposition, then we're jumping on the bandwaggon.

Yep, I joined in 2007, but it had nothing to do with any of those major fights. I've been a long time lurker of Boxing scene and I just finally decided to say my bit.

Coming from someone who knows nothing about the sport?

Seriously though, I was at Calzaghe's Pro debut, as it was on the undercard of Bruno-Lewis at the Cardiff Arms Park. I was only 6 at the time, but my friend was Bruno's nephew, and he asked if I wanted to go. I watched Joe Calzaghe put Paul Hanlon away inside a single round from ringside and it was the greatest moment of my life, my first live boxing match. Ever since then I have been a fan of Calzaghe and boxing.

Don't judge others by your own "bandwagon jumping" standards.

I think it's hilarious because none of these guys probably even knew who he was until the Kessler fight. This is the same time Haye won the Cruiserweight title and Hatton was set up to fight Mayweather. I've never heard of so many British boxing fans in my life and now you see why. Bandwagon as it gets.

The funniest part is a lot of them have the nerve to pull up threads where we picked Lacy over Calzaghe, which was a 50/50 fight considering nobody knew anything about either of these guys. Neither had faced stiff competition and the level of opposition was pretty much the same for both guys. Yet they act like they knew Calzaghe was a great? How could you know that when you didn't even know anything about boxing?

What's really funny is a lot of you dumbasses picked Hatton over Mayweather despite everybody KNOWING Hatton's resume was **** compared to Mayweather's and that he had no chance. We have documented proof that we knew that would be lopsided, yet none of you ******* were around to point out how Calzaghe would dominate Lacy.

There's nothing wrong with becoming a fan after seeing one performance of a fighters.

            But nuthugging is NOT good....

                  Kind of yourself there...

He didn't say Hatton would KO him at all, and said Mayweather would run for 12 rounds and hope for the decision. So what, he was wrong.

What's the matter, never been wrong have you?
