Except that Mosley should be punished. If you get caught cheating years after the fact you can't cop one and say, "well it was so long ago...let's just let bygones be bygones." Mosley should be punished. If he'd been punished in 2003 or 2004 then whatever. But he wasn't.
AND he made a lot of money for getting those titles at 154 from Oscar in his next two fights against Winky Wright and in two fights against Fernando Vargas. Who's to say that he wouldn't have gotten those fight if he hadn't cheated? Mosley needs to be punished before we can just let it go.
That Oscar win should be turned into a no contest.Comment

people always hating on fighters like floyd and vargas cause they talk alot. But what people don`t understand is that those 2 are always helping people out.
And when Zab lost to baldomir Floyd called Zab and consulted him.even though they had beef.Zab said this on hot 97 a Popular New York radio statio
People are always getting fooled by fake a** smiles.
People,9 times out of ten its the quit ones that are the most crooked.
I don't give a guy like Mosley any more of a pass or extra benefit of the doubt than guy like Vargas just because he appears or has a reputation of being a nice person.
Public persona doesn't mean a guy will or will not cheat, or isn't a different person behind closed doors.Comment

By the way...
Mosley has acknowledged injecting himself in the stomach area and paying for BALCO products -- Conte said the bill was $1,650 with a $900 cash payment for EPO -- but the boxer maintains he believed he was using legal vitamins.
"You think vitamins cost $900 a month?" Conte asked.Comment

You don't know Shane Mosley. Just because he seems like a nice guy (and probably is) doesn't mean he didn't know he was taking steroids. Plus, what kind of lame defense is he using? He said he didn't know they were steroids. How many times have we heard that before?Comment

If I recall correctly, it was Oscar de la Hoya demanding an investigation after the return match with Mosley went the other way. Oscar was vilified in the press for what people interpreted as a crybaby act, but these revelations may vindicate his efforts in 2003.Comment

Max Kellerman went as far as to say that 7 out of ten heavyweights use steroids or some other illegal enhancements.
It isn't just heavyweights. Lightweights, welterweights, a lot of fighters looking to get a competitive edge will use steroids or HGH to increase gains in the gym. Boxers are not tested during training camps, only after a fight. Who knows what a boxer is putting in his system when he isn't getting tested.
A boxer can use steroids or HGH and then cut it down with sufficient time before the fight to return their blood chemicals to acceptable levels. From what I hear that is the most common way performance enhancing drugs are ingested.Comment

1st off, the fight was won by Oscar but negated by the inept judging.
2nd ,this fight should now be ruled a no contest.
