Although I'd rather him against someone else, my main complaint is that the de la Hoya fight is the only one we'll see from him this year.

If he fought a top 5 guy in April, then de la Hoya and then finished the year by taking on one of the other belt holders, then I wouldn't complain, just like I didn't complain about Cotto-Gomez (let's face it, de la Hoya>Gomez). But when the de la Hoya fight is the only one that he's having, that's when I find it annoying.

You mention Cotto, but let's face facts here. Cotto currently the best in the division. Maybe he could lose to Margarito, but Floydy won't fight either one, at least for now. He'll wait for one to get battered and fight the loser like he did with Judah.

You can't just say it's because of some bandwagon ****.. People dislike Mayweather for a reason 1) He hasn't faced the highest level of opposition in years and 2) He is a prick.
No one here thought Hatton had a chance against Mayweather.. only his fans did.

The DLH.. DLH had lots of supporters.. of course he did! He is DE LA HOYA!
A lot more people were expecting him to win too since he had all the odds stacked in his favor like ring size, gloves, etc. including myself. That fight made lots of people realise how doen DLH was though.

I think the dislike for him is justified for the two reasons above.. some people really dislike him that they hope whoever he steps in the ring with beats him and root for the guy but for the most part that is not the case.

I am not here to defend floyds personality, his makin it rain, or his ****in ******ed flashy lifestyle appeal. However there comes a point where i wonder if some of you get tired of what you do. On one hand, you people rip horus and dios for being fantatical, but then you get the SAME PEOPLE year after year, saying the same **** about the same guy. In 2005 it was margarito, then in 06 it was hatton, and since hatton now its Cotto. Every year its something new.
