Cotto is playing the hoe-role by nutting-up so bad when asked about Floyd.

If Cotto could bring the $$$ that Hatton did..HIS ASS WOULD HAVE BEEN WHOOPED ALREADY..

Miguel is no more of a threat than all the other guys Floyd has defeated..

Cotto DOES NOT HAVE THE DEFENSE TO BEAT FLOYD..

He has NO DEFENSE FOR RIGHT HANDS..

Keeps his left ****ed away from his body..making him vulnerable to bodyshots and uppercuts..

      Leans over at the waist..

      and

Lunges in blindly just like a rookie.

Ya'll should be glad this fight hasn't happen..because Cotto would be on Mayweather's SCRAP HEAP..

At the end of the day, who in the boxing worlds eye seems to be the one ducking who? I dont see any of the credible voices in the boxing world saying that Cotto is ducking Floyd merely because he hasnt called Floyd out. What i have been seeing, and u cant deny it, is that Floyd is ducking the real challenges in favor of easy payday. That's a fact.

Cotto does not represent Mayweather's biggest payday..but Floyd would be Cotto's biggest by a mile..

His numbers in the Judah fight were 220,000...the ratings for the Gomez fight WHERE THE LOWEST IN HBO HISTORY..if he wants to make some BIG MONEY..he has to open his ****in mouth and start MAKING SOME NOISE.

Cotto doesn't have to be rude or offensive to call Floyd out..he can do it with class..

Floyd is in the driver's seat..if Cotto wants to drive..he has make his intentions known..not just to Floyd..but to the boxing world..
this isn't hiphop dude. call outs aren't boxing standard. some dudes do and some dudes don't. cotto doesn't need to. he has the entire world calling out floyd for him. for example:

-"That's the thing he does for his entire career. He run from the really good boxer kind, he choose the others. I don't know how the people who know about boxing put him in the first place in the pound-for-pound champion."

-Cotto says he sees vulnerablilities in Mayweather which he knows how to exploit. "He's quick. He's fast. But when you put pressure on him he closes his mind."

-"The fans, the company, my staff are great," the 27-year-old Cotto said. "I am ready for anyone."

-"I'll fight any big names: Oscar, Mayweather, Hatton, anyone top-ranked, whatever the company tells me," Cotto said after his 31st straight win. "I'm ready for the big names. No excuses. What the company wants me to do."

-"He always runs from me, makes excuses on why he shouldn’t fight Miguel Cotto. I'm here for the big names. If he doesn't want to fight me than I can do something else."

-"To beat Maywetaher, you have to put pressure on him, cut off the ring and be ready to throw a lot of punches, real punches - for all twelve rounds"

-"I never choose opponents. They always make the correct fights for me. I'm going to leave these things in their hands"

-"We’re rivals,” Cotto said. “Mayweather is a star of the sport and we’re in the same company. Mayweather was a great champion at 130 and 135. We don’t know about 140. When the company says the time is right to make the fight, I’ll fight him. I think it's a good fight. I know Mayweather's a great fighter. But I know I can beat him."

Reporter: Do you think Mayweather actually is afraid of you?
Cotto: I don't know what kind of reason he has for choosing another fighter. If you want to be the best you have to fight the best.
Reporter: You actually believe you will beat Floyd don't you?
Cotto: I'm pretty sure of that, because of my training. Because of my - I trust a lot in myself. And I'm always do more than 100% in my training sessions.

-Cotto says he sees vulnerablilities in Mayweather which he knows how to exploit. "He's quick. He's fast. But when you put pressure on him he closes his mind."

-Cotto said he doesn't need Mayweather, and he can't make Mayweather fight him because "I'm not a promoter."

-"I can't fight a guy who doesn't want to face me," Cotto said.

                      @ boof*******: Why.......so..........many......periods........... .....?

I have noticed one common theme in this thread, and any relating to the Cotto vs. Mayweather matchup: Mayweather fans talk and talk and talk and talk and do their very best to sound like their hero. Cotto fans wait it out, allowing the Mayweather fans to look as dumb as their favorite. Cotto's fists do the talking.

One things that stands out to me is that while Mayweather is the #1 p4p boxer in the world, he's not the #1 Welterweight in the world. Yes, that is a possible paradox. Why? Because he refuses to fight anyone in that division. He refuses to take on one of the deepest and most talented divisions in the history of the sport. He fought Judah....good for him. He won't fight Mosley, he won't fight Margarito, and he won't fight Cotto until he has absolutely no other choice left besides retiring.

Nobody with half of a brain thinks Mayweather is the #1 Welterweight. Cotto and Margarito are #1 and #2. I think that if Mayweather wants any part of that claim, he has to beat the loser of the Cotto vs. Margarito matchup, and then face the winner. The challenger calls out the champ right? Well, those two guys are defeating everyone in that division. Mayweather keeps taking fights with everyone else.

Mayweather has never been willing to fight anybody. boof*******, your claim that Floyd turned down Margarito because he wasn't the mandatory challenger is only further digging a hole. Why doesn't Floyd take on any of the Welterweight challengers then? He won't. He will fight De La Hoya, and Hatton, and anything that presents cash but no challenge.

You have stated that people need to call Floyd out to get a fight, and yet you have provided excuses for why he won't accept the call outs. Hatton never actually called him out, but you think he did by stating something similar to a call out. What about Cotto saying, "if he's next, then I'll fight him," and, "I'll fight whoever is put in front of me," or even, "I don't need Floyd."??? Why in the world is that not the same as calling him boring as did Hatton? If it's disrespect Floyd wants to make the fight, he's gotten it in Spades from Cotto. Cotto considers Mayweather insignificant. He's being the quiet assassin while Mayweather dances and does Wrestlemania. Nobody called him out on that program, by the way.

He's been disrespected, called out by the people who make the fights for Cotto, but he's not answering; except with excuses. Many of which have been posted here, but are conveniently ignored by Mayweather fans. Floyd can't answer an honest question, and niether can his fans. Both are experts at ducking the storm in front of them.

Mayweather does need Cotto. Mayweather's legacy will always be in question for never fighting Cotto (or Margs for that matter). While Cotto's, even if he loses down the road, will never be in question because he takes on the best in his division without a fuss over money. The amount of money means nothing compared to respect, and where you stand when the dust clears of the debate of all-time greats. Nobody remembers Muhammad Ali because he made more money than any other heavyweight up to the end of his career. Nobody remembers Ray Robinson for the money he made. Nobody remembers Marvin Hagler, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Thomas Hearns, Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, none of them because of the money they made. Win or lose, they took on the best of their day, the best of their division.

Cotto will be remembered before Mayweather by the boxing fans for simply being great at what he does.

The more Mayweather runs his mouth, the ******er he looks. Cotto knows this, and is playing this game perfectly.
