I like how alot of people in this thread reflect the rhetoric of the fighters they are defending. Some of yall make it seem like Cotto is this intelligent, articulate genius who has master plan of sorts to get a mayweather fight, when in reality he is coached to death on what he says and how he acts. I have NEVER seen someone so mundane with his words "I DO WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS" jesus christ.

And mayweather fans reflect the same thing, the same arrogance that he himself projects in many ways, there is very few objectionable and logical posts coming from this whole ordeal. The reality is, Mayweather is waiting for enough public uproar/outcry, and Cotto is waiting for Arum to make the right deal and to settle their promotional infighting to make a fight happen.

You think that Cotto speaks for himself out there? Does he sound like hes speaking for himself? "THE COMPANY SAYS..." "I FIGHT WHO THE COMPANY PUTS IN FRONT OF ME" hes being basically told what to say and arums press statements reflect it definately.

Mayweather on the other hand has someone like Ellerbe to repeat the exact same rhetoric. The difference is, because mayweather is in the unpopular position hes in, if he says something you all dont approve of hes wrong, whereas cotto somehow is a young genius. They both play the same games, mayweather plays his own games because he owns himself, and cotto plays the game that arum controls for him. When are you people going to understand that the fight will happen when there is a real storyline to apply to it and the public anticipation PLUS the money go along with it?
