Ricky did alright for himself considering he was outclassed in everyway. I think at least he made the case that he deserved to get his shot.

Mayweather showed up at his afterparty without a single mark on his face.
I didn't know it was a beauty contest.

Then you don't know boxing very well. You can't get a boxing license unless you modeled for a magazine.

Wasn't Hatton's intent to "rough him up"?

What was Hatton a model of? Stonehenge?

It certainly was. But Cortez prevented him from executing that part of his gameplan, so he had to rely on boxing, and that's a contest he wasn't going to win.

Furthermore Cortez also allowed roughing from the other side of the coin, so Ricky got roughed up and his bum chums said "he beated ahton at his own game lolz"

He did well enough so that Mayweather was forced to fight him, but other then winning two rounds, no not really.

"that part of his gameplan". What were the other parts? ya know... because Graham and hatton got very upset when Floyd said RH was one-dimensional.

So clearry, RH was going to adjust....right?

I don't know how it was Joe Cortez's fault from Ricky lunging in like that. I'm suprised Mayweather was the first really to counter with his left hook like that. Lazcano started to do it sometimes too.

Cotto would have destroyed Hatton at 140 imo. Especially since Hatton doesn't like it to the body and jumpes in open for a huge left hook (One of Cotto's best punches)

Hatton did great and really tried hard in that fight. What more can you ask.
