    Rewatched Hatton-Mayweather

Am I the only one that thinks Hatton did well until the 8th round and 9th?

He did well pressuring Mayweather and giving him a tough fight
What do u guys think of his performance?

Yes, Hatton did do well he was more successful in pressurising Mayweather than anyone else I've seen. He could have been given several of the first six rounds by judges that like to reward aggression. It should be remembered though, that success against Mayweather is relative and is measured in terms of how much trouble you give him, not how close you come to winning.

The thing is that Hatton's success actually worked against him, it forced Mayweather to fight. Typically Mayweather likes to diffuse pressure by just avoiding it, but with hatton he couldn't and when he opened up and started throwing the gulf in class became all too obvious.

i just don't think hatton has the adaptability to change with mayweather's game.

well, sometimes. pbf does a lot of hitting while the other person is throwing. he finds good angles as quick as any boxer out there. that is one big reason he flusters opponents. they think they are either going to hit him, or hit his gloves at least and they end up getting hit because floyd has moved a bit to the side.

i would love to spar floyd. i would probably give him more trouble than boxers he's played with 'cause i recognize all of his tricks.

i'm surprised boxers on here don't bring up his offensive defense. 'cause that's what he does mostly.

Mayweather showed up at his afterparty without a single mark on his face. He was never hurt or troubled in the fight. Ricky never landed any meaningful punches. Quick - remind me a a hard bodyshot Hatton landed? The fight went EXACTLY as Floyd said it would.

Hatton won two rounds, got dominated and knocked out in a hilarious way. His career will never be the same.

                  Yeah...Ricky did great.
