Is Calzaghe's win against Eubank bigger than Mayweather's win against Hatton?

Eubank was'nt the same boxer after the Watson fight, and he took the Calzaghe fight at short notice. He was training for a fight at LH. He had 2 weeks to make SM. So i would say Mayweathers win over Hatton was better

Thank you...seriously Eubank wasnt in any P4P List, He wasnt in his Prime, he hasnt been the same since his wars, and he took the fight on a weeks notice and still gave calzaghe the toughest fight of his career.

Hatton was undefeated and a great champion in his prime

Anyone who claims that Eubank gave Calzaghe "the toughest fight of his career" probably didn't watch the fight.

It's hard to say which was toughest, but it looked pretty brutal to me.

Has he said it since the Hopkins fight?

It wasn't easy, but to me he had more trouble with Hopkins and Reid. Eubank didn't fight badly, but how many rounds did he clearly win? Calzaghe on the other hand put in an excellent performance and was at his absolute best. People argue that Calzaghe performances are better against the top fighters than against lesser names, and to an extent I agree; if you look at the Salem fight for example Calzaghe is terrible, he gets knocked down, is clearly out of sorts for several rounds afterwards, headbutts early and gets away with it and then headbutts again and loses a point. Eubank didn't trouble him half as much as Salem did, even though Eubank was a far better fighter.

If Calzaghe claims that the Eubank fight was harder for him than the Hopkins fight then he is talking crap.

31 year old Eubank >>> 30 year old Hatton moving up in weight
Hatton was 28 and Eubank wasn't shot but he was FAR from his best and took the fight on short notice.
