Now that I think about it BS has never made an article concerning Floyd-Cotto. Seriously if anyone thinks Floyd would make more money ighting Cotto than Oscar you HAVE GOT TO BE kidding yourself. Absolutely kidding yourself.

        floyd pretty boy money mayweather

floyd will always be one of the best skilled fighters in the game.he allows fighters to show their hand and then start taking them apart. this idiot that wrote this article is a journalist that has never picked up a boxing glove. right now he's probably ******* off with is writing pen. floyd jr is letting everything play out this year and will take out then final winner early nex year. then history will be made when he retires.

Isn't that what the article said? I think the article defended his reason for fighting De La Hoya instead of Cotto.

            Again...

and again... wait!!! I think ppl are so unpatient because they are scared that Cotto looses. Because if he does, the Mayweather fight is off. Floyd can't fight Oscar for the next two years or either Ricky Hatton. After the DLH fight he has to find someone new and until now nothing is wrong. Cotto made everything right and becomes bigger and bigger. But until now he ain't had that big break out performance. He was pretty good against Shane, better then I ever thought he could be. Shane would give about everyone problems, but still it wasn't the performance that he needed. If he would have knocked him out, this would have been something. He won and it doesn't hurt him. I think the Margarito fight will be or better must be his breakout performance. Margarito is the the guy that Floyd is supposed to be ducking. So if Cotto knocks him out, and ain't looses in one of his next 2 or 3 fights, he will get Mayweather. Hearns and Leonard also took awhile. Wait and see.

To Floyd's opposition... I personally think that yes, he could fight better opponents. But everybody after finally fighting for about 5 years against everybody and you became star, fight opposition who has a name. Floyd fought everyone in his natural weight class. And like or not I think that the names he fought were more popular. Why should he fight Margarito? I mean if he beats him everybody would say yeah another untalented tough boxer that you outpointed easily, can't you finally start to fight real challenges. He fought Gatti instead, made more money and became more known. I don't say it's all about money, but that's the way it is today and with athletes. PPL have problems to give him credit. I'm not talking about his character or whatever. I mean many consider DLH a Hall of Famer. I guess it must have been something to do with his in ring credentials? He beat him decisive in my opinion. Yes, he was past his prime but to tell you the truth. It was his weight, it was way above Floyd's natural weight class (and even if you think it ain't means much, look at other greats who moved up in weight and got surprised) and Oscar ain't looked that much slower. He gassed out but he also did at times in his prime. Ricky Hatton is not great but Hatton has much more foot speed then people give him credit for.

Wait and see... I'm not a Fan of the Match DLH - Mayweather 2 but what the hell, I like to see him fight or box, some ppl don't call it fighting when Mayweather fights, so I'm happy to see him. Because if this Match won't happen, Floyd won't be fighting, so I'm ok with it, but I don't expect much of it. Also I wanted to say that Mayweather's body is breaking down, so the break that he takes, could heal his body a bit. I don't think that he's afraid of everyone, he's afraid that his body breaks down in a fight suddenly. That's way he even fights more protective now than earlier.

Cotto - Mayweather would be great. Because Cotto brings a lot what Hatton brought only more power. But I have to say that I think, that he won't win against Floyd because Cotto has not the foot speed of Hatton, so I doubt that he would be close enough to Mayweather

Its still funny to me that Floyd beat an "aging" DLH (34 yrs old) and a fighter who "wasn't in his league" in Hatton. Yet Cotto's wins over Mosley (36 yrs old) and Judah (never wins big fights, plus Floyd beat him too) are so damn impressive. Now we're getting Margarito who lost to a prospect who was then exposed. His best win is against Kermit freaking Cintron. Its obvious that Arum has been feeding Margarito C-class fighters to make him look good so that when Cotto destroys him it will look impressive. But think about it folks, Does beating Margarito really make you a more legit challenger? Did it for Daniel Santos or Paul Williams? Then why should it for Cotto?

i think its funny that people are claiming there are double standards at play here when there clearly aren't any. people always act as if cotto isn't a great/complete fighter. with the clouds of doubt most mayweather fans speak of in regards to cotto he should be getting ass loads of credit for beating malignaggi, judah and mosley. because the same way everyone says that there is always some new guy to say floyd has ducked, there is always a fighter that's going to beat cotto. i heard it from everywhere leading up to the judah fight that judah was going to "expose" cotto. i heard it from everyone leading up to the mosley fight that the reign of cotto was going to end there. i even remember **** heads saying malignaggi was way too fast for cotto and even heard people say he was going to be ko'd. none of those things came to be. one thing is certain floyd doesn't want that 0 to go and he knows that his days are numbered if cotto gets past margarito - which he will.

Floyd at 147 since 05 = Sharmba, Judah, De La Hoya, Hatton, Baldomir
Cotto at 147 since 06 = Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Gomez, Quintana, Urkal

                  Mayweather fought nobody at 147.

Floyd is trying to do what Ray Leonard did with Hagler. He retired for a minute but then decided to come back from all the hoopla of fighting Marvin. This is whats going to happen with Floyd. Although I doubt Floyd will be inactive like Leonard was.
