I had Castillo winning, in a close fight. but...

1. Compbox count does NOT score fights and is inaccurate.
2. Mayweather beat Castillo in an immediate rematch. He didnt beat him one-sidedly...but there was no debate at all about who won.
SO WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Ask Calzaghe if he gave Reid an immediate rematch, geez. I neve understood why Mayweather was so discredited for this fight when he made up for it in a rematch, its not even like he ducked Castillo and pretended there was no scoring controversy. I dont like Mayweather much, but you have to give him credit fo that...It doesnt happen often at all.

Neither was that big of a deal. I agree.

Another few things that referee did wrong:

1. If he took a point from Castillo for hitting on the break, he was more than obligated to take a point from Mayweather for hitting after the bell.
2. The worst foul in the entire fight was when Castillo was behind Floyd and unleashed like 5 shots on Floyd's back in the kidney area.

I agree with you on that call, I dont think the ref was that bad but i didnt agree with either deduction. Regardless of the winner that was an ecellent fight and was vintage JLC, slow starter, excellent finisher

For a lot of the voters it'd be their first time seeing it... I'd almost guarantee it. I've no problem with people who believe Castillo won... but with the climate of the forum and amount of posters who've proven they don't know **** outside of what they read on boxrec makes me seriously doubt even 1/2 the voters have seen it.

I've seen it 3 or 4 times, but I am reasonable enough to realize that scoring fights is not my forte. I have ADD too bad to sit there and keep an accurate tally in my head of who is doing better work in each round.

I only voted Mayweather to piss the thread creator off, like I said earlier. Normally, I stay out of "who did you score the _________ fight for?".

I don't think I scored it round for round but I thought Castillo did enough to pull it out. He was in Floyd's ass and Floyds counters became less glitzy and sharp as the fight wore on and JL wore him down. Vik Draculich did suck, I remember Merchant saying so in the commentary. Pretty funny. Drakulich tells the fighters to calm down and Merchant, enraged, responds: "Calm down?! You calm down! No one paid to see this referee." Merchant sounded, as usual, drunk as hell.
