Sherk and penn displayed better boxing then hatton!

Hatton was lunging with his face and chin up first with the same **** he pulled on mayweatrher which got him caught by a checkhook.

Penn and sherk showed the effectiveness of boxing...penns jab,,,,hatton has no jab...I can go on and on.

And sherk has textbook boxing just short arms his hands were up in the proper position and he was trying to put together combos.
The sad thing is you actually believe that.

Just when I thought you could not say anything dumber, you prove that your ignorance is limitless.

Never said it was gay but maybe you shouldn't talk about another sport being gay when you have moments like this in boxing...

Look we are talking about two combat sports where the objective is to hurt the other guy, there is nothing 'gay' about it except perhaps to your insecure self.

That's why I qualified it by saying who I have seen. I've heard of Pulver but don't remember seeing him.

Highlight and his boxing record: http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...6828&cat=boxer

He is fighting Urijah Faber next in WEC, should be a good fight with two of the best 145 lb fighters against each other.

Sergei Kharitonov is a good boxer (for MMA) with some amateur boxing experience, as are the Emelianenko brothers.

I'm not a fan of both?

I have a Sherdog account since 2002, I have been a pretty hardcore fan of MMA since around 1996. Just because I don't agree with you about all that 16-35 white demographic you love to brag MMA attracts, I'm not bashing MMA. I'm not a fan of the way the UFC is run and the way they treat their fighters, you might not understand that but I'm a fan of fighters and fights not promoters and brands.

The Machida fight was not great, it was very dull the first two rounds, nothing happend till the 3rd round.

Which is why I mentioned them - to point you in that direction if you're looking for good boxers in MMA. Those two actually fought several years ago in what was almost a pure boxing match, which would be my foremost recommendation.

You also probably heard Pulver's name dropped a lot last night, as they were promoting his fight with Faber (who will destroy him, alas).

I rematched the Frye vs Thompson fight the other day, it has to be one of the worst stoppages in the history of combat sports. Frye takes about 50 unnecessary punches, talk about an old fashioned beating.

Hatton looks amatuerish compared to those guys he came in with his face and chin up and throwing and upper cut or leaping uppercuts and getting countered all night by a lazy check hook from lazcano.
Hatton showed much better wrestling skills them guys.

BJ's and Sherks stand up is average at best. If it was any good or as good as what you say they would be in boxing. Instead Sherk is in MMA making $14,000 gurantees and begging Money Mayweather to come and fight him.

Yeah, I appreciate that. I didn't mean it that way if I came off snarky.

That's a Japanese style stoppage right there.

The worst example of it that I've seen is this Sakuraba fight. It is is amazing that Sakuraba came back and beat the guy but only with a LITTLE help from the referee... Sickening.
