This is easy at 140 Cotto by KO but in a close ugly fight, at 147 Cotto by murder.
So how would Hatton destroy Cotto again?

Cotto would beat Hatton at 140 and especially 147. Hatton's vulnerability to body punches would be his down fall. He is also at a disadvantage in every categeory. Handspeed, size, boxing ability, inside fighting and punching power. Hatton is actually tailor made for a body puncher like Cotto. Hatton looks his best against fighters that he is stronger than and whom he could muscle and bully around the ring and Cotto is a full fledge welterweight that could fight at junior middle. He comes in at middleweight on fight night. Hatton would be the one that is being pushed back. Cotto would be too much for any Hatton.Comment

He was on unstable legs from a guy, Torres, with a ridiculous punch. He was getting bombed and didn't legitimately go down. Getting put on unstable legs, watch that round.... Hatton would've been KO'd from 1/2 the shots Cotto took.Comment

And before the usual suspects come in here claiming im saying Cotto is the PERFECT fighter, he's far from perfect. He has his flaws. Someone here said Cotto isn't worth of stepping in the ring with Mayweather because he has "serious flaws that need fixing".
Well, we a fighter that was in the ring with Mayweather who had much more severe flaws that needed fixing.Comment

Torres is a big puncher but i think that Cotto's chin is better than that. Every hard shot that he took, he looked like he was on unsteady legs. I think that it had more to with the weight trouble than anything else. Judah and Mosley both hit Cotto with harder shot than that. Cotto's chin questions should have already been answered in those 2 fights.Last edited by slicksouthpaw16; 05-24-2008, 08:44 PM.Comment
