Miranda chose Abraham and Kessler was the odd man out.
You do realise Mundine offered Kessler a big purse 22 months ago. Straight after beating Green. And he didn't get a response.

Kessler has been poorly managed. He had his chance to fight Choc, and it would have been on HBO.

If Miranda can't get a fight at SMW, would you come back and fight at MW, if there was 1 or 2 belts on the line?

I am not sure I understand your question. But if you are asking if after Miranda beats Abraham would he fight back at 160lbs for belts, then the answer is absolutely not. I am somewhat surprised he was willing to try 166lbs to fight Abraham. He had the option take this fight at 160lbs and fight for the belt and he refused. His days at 160lbs are over....

Second thoughts.... This is the first fight Edison is using a professional nutritionist to help him with his diet. Now if he somehow makes 166lbs easily and feels great, well, maybe he would consider 160lbs if the opportunity was great. I would be surprised, but I have heard of these specialists doing wonders for fighters. I would have to guess though, that it will still take everything he has to make this weight and stay strong. It will be interesting to see!

Third thoughts.... I just do see 160lbs for him ever again. Why risk it? If he beats Abraham he will get the fights he needs at 168lbs. He might as well stay here and be strong where he knows he can make the weight and stay healthy. No reason ever to risk being drained again like he was with Pavlik.

Froach didn't impress when me i seen him on the undercard of Witter/Bradly. He was slow, robotic, kept his left hand down and couldn't floor his overmatched opponent, even though he was landing his signature uppercut at will. If Miranda were to box the way he did David Banks while setting up power shots, then he would stop Froach late. It would be a great fight though.

It definitely makes for an interesting match-up. When Miranda faces world class opposition, he comes out second place. Froch hasn't fought anybody worthy of note so is still very much a question mark.

Put it this way.....2 p4p hard-hitters going at it, you know it won't last long. I would very much like to see this fight.

                  He did did he?

Since this info comes from you I gotta ask if the purse was for 10 million bucks? Or maybe 20 mill? Are you sure that the offer was made for Kessler and not for Sturm, Winky or (insert top fighter name here)?

I dont neccesarily see this as a KO. None of these are guys are too gifted in the skills department. Maybe the most skilled (who I think is Miranda) will easily outbox the other for a comfortable decision win.

I know you're not keen on Froch, but he is a great combination puncher. I've seen a majority of his fights and he also shows some skill although i'd say Miranda is better skilled. (which doesn't say much for Froch).

Froch's chin hasn't been tested at top level but i'd say it is better than Miranda's.

I think a KO/TKO is far likely than a decision.....but i think, once each boxer has felt the others power, they both will stay cautious.
