Floyd for sure. He never would have been caught like that against Tarver.

Just cuz Roy is more exciting doesn't mean he's more complete.

Before the tarver fight, u could still said the same thing about roy... it would never happen... u also woulda said the same thing before the buster douglas fight.... some fighters appear unbeatable or unknockoutable and then it happens... never say never.

If he didn't put that guy out he would completely intimidate that fighter from throwing.

The hypothetical and example you speak of had to do with Mayweather's defense as much as any measure of offense he showed. The difference is that Roy could take his offense to a new level, ala Montell Griffin episodes. Could you ever imagine Floyd just coming out and blowing a guy like Judah away? I can't. That's because Roy's offensive ability was on a different planet.
I am not debating that Jones is an extremely effective fighter. But that doesnt mean he has a complete offense, he just always went in and did his thing. ONE thing (I am pushing it now, but you get it... what I described on the previous post). Mayweather does many things (even offensively), that makes him more complete in my eyes.

I dont understand how getting caught by Tarver has anything to do with being a complete fighter. Floyd got caught by Corley. Are you saying Floyd has a better chin? very possible, but I dont see what that has to do with being “complete”

Also let's wait until Mayweather turns 35 and see what happens.

The question was " more complete".

Is Roy a better jabber? Better inside? Better defender? Better technique? Better stamina? Better chin?

Its like comparing Vince Carter to Michael Jordan..one is a freak ..and the other is the total package.

Floyd doesnt use his jab much... roy rushed the jab in the pazienza fight and the ruiz fight.. and it was a crucial jab

roy and floyd have different teqniques, being unorthodox doesnt make you an incomplete fighter

roys stamina in his prime is just as good if not better than floyd

chin, we dont know in roys prime.. he didnt get koed til he was 35

Floyd by far, Jones relied on athletic ability and reflexes.
Floyd is the more complete boxer, he masters the art of boxing.

He rarely jabs. He is not the technical boxer that people make him out to be. It's not even a bad thing. The jab is something that fighters use to set their good **** up... fighters like Jones and Mayweather can forego that because they are THAT badass.

                    I'm fencing this one.

I will say to the people that voted Mayweather that Jones has showed an entirely new style in his last few fights... fighting like Winky Wright. Someone that can change their style that much and still be effective is more than just a one-trick pony IMO.

Floyd uses his jab when he chooses. Against Judah some. And alot in round 9, for example, in the Hatton fight.

We are talking "complete". Can Floyd fight unorthodox? Yes. Can Roy fight classical? Not as well. Can Roy fight as well inside as outside?

I watched alot of prime Roy. His late-round stamina was fine. It wasn't Mayweather-esque.
