Why is BOXING nothing in America? it is so low on the Totem pole...

I just read that KIMBO SLICE that MMA guy from the street is gonna be a presenter at the CMT country music awards on CBS and he is gonna have a fight on CBS for free may 31 at 6pm on saturday live.
He even had a cover on ESPN magazine!

To me it pisses me off that Boxers never get a cover! of any magazine only oscar and floyd jr and the only time is when its considered the biggest fight out.

They used to put boxers on SI all the time now no boxers, inside the magazine no boxing coverage...golf gets more coverage.

They should put class guys like kelly pavlik, pacman, cotto on these covers...they should let them go on leno, letterman, kimmel.

But instead the only guys allowed are MMA fighters like kimbo.

What can be done guys? why is Boxing being treated like nothing in America?

Cotto and Pacman would need translators to go on kimmel or Leno.

If they were English speaking Americans they might be on these shows.

As for Pavlik the guy is a good fighter but no personality whatsoever.

Who cares? It is on TV all the time, including prime time HBO tonight, and ESPN last night.

if Hatton and Calzaghe were American they would be huge mega stars. White, good at what they do, good personalities. Hatton is funnier than a lot of the American comedians ffs, he would go down a treat

Si some times will put the fight poster on its own page, but at the back of the magazine.

A few issues ago they did an article on johnny tapia and his problems but once again at the back fo the magainze, literally the last page before the back cover

Oscar de La Hoya and Mayweather are not White. Yet they are the biggest American Boxing Superstars.

Every boxer should be mandated to audition for TV shows. Who wouldn't want to see the guest star on "Desperate house whores" duke it out in the ring.

Being white would be no help. Americans love classifications. Athletes should be black.
