What the **** did roy jones jr do to earn a shot at Calzaghe? Beat the smaller fighter trinidad? Pavlik beat Jermaine Taylor the opponent that was going to be a future opponent of Calzaghes until Pavlik finished Taylor off.

Tarver?! I'd rather see a Hopkins rematch then him vs Tarver....

i already said this before that the best fight for calzaghe before calling it a career is a fight with pavlik. of all the boxers calling on joe, pavlik has the biggest chance. tarver, jones, or any boxer out there are simply peanuts for calzaghe.

and why is jones joining the hunt on calzaghe? nothing... nothing but money... oh boy, jones should have retired.

Of the three, Tarver is the most dangerous fight.

Pavlik is a long and lean leverage puncher. His power will increase as his weight scales up. Not much though, but it would increase.

As for looking ordinary against Taylor in the rematch, well Taylor fought a very tough, disciplined fight and never gave Pavlik much to look spectacular with. Taylor fought a great fight that night and was extremely cagey. Pavlik still landed a right hand in the first round that would have taken most guys out.

Pavlik had to depend on work rate to pull it out, much like Joe against Bernard.
