Tarver Joins Jones, Pavlik in The Calzaghe Run

The only person on that list who has any chance of beating Calzaghe is Pavlik, and even then i'd pick Calzaghe. Jones has had his day and Tarver is just plain ****.

Calzaghe will get KTFO by Pavlik. Calzaghe cant take Pavliks punch. Calzaghe couldnt take an old Hopkins punch.. he definitely couldnt stand in the trenches with Pavlik. Pavlik is nothing to play with. When it comes to finishing the job Pavlik is surgical.. Calzaghe wont have the grace period to recover after being knocked down as he did against an old non-punching Hopkins. Calzaghe wants no part of The Ghost.

Another pointless post from someone that hasn't watched any early calzaghe fights. Pavlik is a solid punching, brave, elite middleweight NOT ****ING ERNIE SHAVERS (you'd better google him as I doubt you've heard of him).

How do you define 'not taking a punch' ? Personally you don't take a punch when you land on your arse and don't get back up again; walking on to a perfect right hand from a 175lb fighter and getting back up on arounf the count of three (how is that a grace period?? its not MMA you're not allowed to ground and pound) with a clear head constitutes taking a good punch. If you bothered to watch the Mitchell fight you'll find Calzaghe doesn't need much of a grace period.

Finally, on the subject of surgical finishing, if Taylor had that ability, this thread wouldn't exist.
