what you say is true. the sad part of it is that the people who do not support this are being taken hostage by those who do, and in the process their voices are being drowned out by the negativity.

the cartoon your talking about is Memin Pinguin, it was to honor the cartoon character for what it represents "afro-mexican culture in mexico"

Trust me, I can relate. My people, Italians, can be extremely racist against anyone and everyone as well. It's extremely embarrassing to me.

We will agree to disagree on the stamp. The view of blacks in Mexico is rather low, its on the level of the view of Indios in mexico, not held in high regard.

                    That **** is ****KKED uP!!!!!!!!!

Racism in Mexico is real, the idea of beauty and what is right is usually demonstrated by blonde blue eyed people. What is even more sad, is that people will make fun at their own roots and put it down as if having indian blood was such a curse.

Don't know if my mexican peeps will acknowledge this, but i refuse to be quiet on this and i only hope that one day all this bull**** will go away.

Well it all depends. For example I'm Military, and there are a lot of mexicans and a lot of Puertorricans. And we for most part get along very well. And another thing is a Mexican thats been born and race in mexico and a Puertorrrican whos been born and race in PR are way different of the ones born or race in the US. The ones being from the US either Mexican or Puertorrican are more propence to be in that kind of raceism. I have met a lot of mexicans from mexico a they are cool.We actually have alot in common!. So the rivalry in sports it should exists, but not the raceism, no matter wich or what race you are!
