Help Please! What is the reason for the Mexican/Puerto Rican dislike?

Believe it or not mexicans have virtually no contact with pureto ricans

other than in sports rivalries.

puerto ricans live in the 5 boroughs of NYC and northern new jersey.

mexicans live in california and in southern states such as texas, georgia.

mexicans very sparse else where and puerto ricans are concentrated in

the NYC metropolitan area.


The real issue is whats this mexican hate for blacks?????????

i defend myself and please feriocity don't come with that crap...because is no coincidence that u guys had problem with pinoys and african americans calling them m-@-y-a-t-e-s(whatever the **** that means) and pinoys dog eaters so please don't be blaming **** on puerto ricans.

I know a great deal of people in my area of Southern California who are both Mexican and El Salvadorian and every single one of them has confirmed for me on both sides that the Mexicans go hard on the El Salvadorians. No mercy, no regard. Oh, and then there's the non-stop racially motivated attacks and racially based **** against the Blacks. Everyone knows about that. The Mexicans are like Italians, extremely ethnocentric. Them against everybody i.e. La Rasa, ect. It is what it is.

in boxing because their the two biggest latino communities in boxing. In real life, i havent seen it but i guess its the same reason most other countries (latin) dont like mexicans......because everyone thinks every hispanic person is mexican.

So most of the time they make fun of hispanics steriotypes(whites, blacks, asian etc.) its because of Mexicans(since they are the majority

Pretty much on point there, doesnt really carry over to real life, its more isolated to boxing. Even then its only when its PR vs Mex....many of my uncles and fathers favorite fighters were Mex. Chavez was possibly as popular in my PR house growing up as he was in a Mexican home.

There are literally too many examples to post here. Just go on youtube and type Mexican/Black/Hate Crime/Racism ect. Two summers ago they had a goal to kill 500 Blacks within a 3 month period here in LA. One Mexican guy even tried to kill the actor who played Bubba in Forrest Gump. They were killing teenage Black girls, little kids, ect. Anyone who was Black.

Then there's the comments Vicente Fox made about Black's, and the scandal involving that cartoon character on stamps in Mexico that looks like a monkey.. The Mexican racists make the KKK look like child's play..

You will never see me post anything about Blacks in a negative and demeaning fashion. The stuff between blacks and mexicans is largely due to gangs and the battle for turf.

It goes both ways though, some hate on Mexicans and others hate on blacks. Economics, jobs, low high school graduation rates add to a stressed relationship between the two groups that should be allies because we share the same problems in our communities but unfortunately we fight each other over crumbs instaed of trying to get the pie.

I grew up in New Brunswick. A large percentage of the Mexicans out here are "fresh off a truck". So the Puerto Ricans from around here who speak decent English and are three and four generations deep look down on the immigrants who can't get jobs due to lack of green cards and don't know English for whatever reason. But to be honest I'm not one of those Ricans with a flag hanging from my rear view. I've always been a bit disgusted by our sometimes senseless and over done pride. Its one thing to be proud but its another to be a completely undeserving elitist prick.

RACE and NATIONALITY has never been an issue in PR (only with dominicans immigrating and affecting the economy in PR)

we realize what kinds of background we have..my parents always told me that until i witnessed myself when i went and lived in PR it was amazing i was so glad i was over there but when i came back same bull**** will go on THERE WILL NEVER BE A MELTING POT IN THE US i'll bet u that.

THE US has so many cultural differences it doesn't even have a national language because of the large spanish speaking influence.
