Cotto has seen the light and figured out his life is more valuable than what Arum has been PROMOTING to he and his camp. Looks like PBF has talked some sense into Cotto. I'm not a huge Margarito fan, but I might get the one with the eagle. Wish it was in black though.

Ok, at this point you have to wonder if Team Cotto isn't trying to price out.

Do you SERIOUSLY think Cotto is at all worried about Margarito? This in Cotto's mind is a tune up fight. He knows the interest is there so he will push for the max $$$ But... don't confuse that with his level of confidence as to what e is going to do with a slooooow, club fighter like Margarito.

No, I'm asking which performances of Cotto's you're basing the concept of him being an exceptional Boxer on. The performances. Good appraisal though. ^

I don't know about exceptional boxer. But compared to Margarito? I think he's exception in terms of his boxing ability.

He's shown an adaptability of late that means his skills are improving. He's fighting on the outside as well as the inside and at medium range. In the Mosely fight he was able to dictate the range of the fight (in spots) and that was hugely impressive to me. Just look how he fought Mosely vs. how he fought Abdullaev.

Also, Margarito has combos that are just as good. Just that I never liked Margaritos footwork (or lack thereof) whereas Cotto has improved a lot in this regard.

I think Marg has a much better chin, and is more durable. I think Cotto has more offensive firepower and skill. His defense is now better than Margs. But I see Marg as way bigger with way bigger reach and Marg is a good inside fighter despite his large frame.

It should be a great fight either way.

Don't be a little girl. NEGOTIATIONS and not signing til all is legit is very different from "not signing to fight."
