Cotto is clearly, obviously, unmistakably less than comfortable with the idea of fighting Margarito. It isn't just about these negotiations. Mr. "I fight whoever the company puts in front of me" has been saying for months that he doesn't want to fight Margarito for this reason or that.

Not only did Cotto contradict his mantra of fighting anyone Top Rank brings him by publicly rejecting Margarito; he did it on multiple occasions and sounded visibly irritated and upset when asked about it.
