Thats not a good thing for boxing though ... Being ranked in the top 10 of a division before fighting in that division .. Even though he did knock Bonin out ..

he knocked out a WBC #11 Heavy in less than a round. Floyd always used to get slotted in top 2 by the WBC whenever he moved up in weight without even fighting in that division.

lol, so how about Haye actually tries to pursue the IBF/WBO rankings rather then WBC. I mean it is nice and all, but if he wants to fight Wlad so much, he should try to get ranked there.

Shouldn't he need to defeat a top 50 heavyweight first?

Beating the tomato can Bonin last year shouldn't count for anything - I don't think he was even a top 100 HW by the IBO or BoxRec.

Haye will be KOed by Peter if they ever clash...

I will be rooting for Peter for the first time if he ever faces Haye...
Bonin was somehow ranked #11 by the WBC. They are as crooked as it gets...

                    Jose.. Can I get ranked?

                    Dear Jose Sulaiman,
Can I get ranked by the WBC? I havent fought any top heavyweights but I would like to fight the top heavyweight in the world for his title in my next fight.
To do this I need to be ranked. If I lose I still get paid a grip and there is no shame in losing because the odds are against me anyway. I had dinner with Vlad and he's not opposed to it. All the fans are behind me from my days at Cruiserweight. Its bound to be a huge PPV event. Its win win for the WBC, the fans and myself (win or lose). I think a Top 10 ranking is in order. So what do you say?

                    Sincerely,
                    "D"

well he did beat a top 15 ranked heavy last year but he wasn't really anyone important...
but it would prob propell him into the top 15.
