Ok if he isnt the greatest P4P ever then who is sir? Honestly people forget how good he was before he lost his boxing license. He lost over 3 years to the US government. In those three years he might have won another 12-15 fights maybe more. Most of the fights shown of Ali now are when he was past his prime. Three of his biggest fights Frazier II and III and Foreman Ali was not the same boxer still great but he didn't move like he did prior to his 3 year lay off. Ali P4P king greatest HW of all time. I put him up against any one out there and I say at the end of the day all said and done I win my money. I come out on top. You cant measure the qualities that this man had heart, determination and the desire to be the best....Lefty

This is a reallly pointless thing to argue, because most of Ali's oponents that will be mentioned will be overrated because they fought Ali

      Holmes better HW than Ali

I like to look at Ali when he beat Liston & my favourite is Cleveland Williams IMO its his greatest show of everything power speed etc brill im not making an argument but Sugar Ray Robinson is the best P4P fighter of ATG even Ali said himself P4P Robinson would beat me Ali's own words.

So he was a boxer? I hate to break this to you, but boxers, and athletes in general, are hardly saints. Someone could break down you or I and give a list of reasons why we are not good people, doesn't make it any more viable than your case though, does it?

The vietnamese Viet cong was better to him. They never called him a n!gger.

Ali did say some bad things, I'll give you that. But it was always intended to be funny. And yes he might have pulled the Frazier ridicule a tad to far.

SI SI .Ali the man & Ali the boxer are 2 different things ive just seen enough on this thread to justify that Ali had class as a fighter but some of his behaviour outside the ring have to be unarmored but the fact he didn't fight in Vietnam he has to be given credit there but some of the stuff he said to Frazier are unforgivable as Frazier is still angry & hurt by those insults & slurs on his character.
Me neither man very hard to pick an ATG list
