Bum? Never! IMHO The Greatest. Although, he says himself that calling himself "The Greatest" was a smart marketing ploy borrowed from the wrestler "Gorgeous George".

Ali was no bum, but if he was not such a figure in the political movement back then and if he didn't have such a big mouth, he would have no where near the status he has now as a boxer.

Most of Ali's fights were pretty damn dull actually.

Actually I find classy boxers to be more entertaining to watch than punchers. I'm not a big violence freak like a lot of boxing fans.

Ali wasn't bum well brought up great boxer a one off heavyweight we will never see again but what will make him a bum in hindsight is his over the top talk & insults at Joe Frazier all he had to do was sell the fights not bring ideals into boxing its like Brando bringing his political views to the Oscars no need but Ali must be respected for his courage in not taking the step forward to fight in Vietnam & how he fought but shame he went over the top with Frazier we all have views political opinions etc ideals but leave them out of the sport after all its sport.
