Back in the day at 140 Judah would've taken Hattons head off. I still pick Judah to win, but I dont think it would be as easy as some are saying. Judah is not the same fighter he was.

Floyd's 'pad work' was ridiculous. His trainer was hitting hit gloves with the pads. .

Floyd's padwork is to sharpen his reflexes/timing/speed/accuracy. You know, just in case his opponent comes running in and he has to hit the guy with a perfectly timed left hook. Something unlikely like that.

Seriously, though...I've seen MannyPac's pad work and it suits his fight style to a "T". Fast, aggressive, powerful. I think Floyd's work is also tailored to his fight style.

I'm puzzled by something: Hatton lost to the number one fighter in the world therefore he can be knocked out by Zab SUper Chicken Judah? Judah lost to Baldomir, not because Baldomir is good, not because he can punch, but because after four rounds he was still there.

Anyone who is still standing by the 4th can beat Judah.

Baldomir also walked through some massive punches. And his best punch, the straight right, was open all night against Zab. Hatton doesnt have a straight right like Baodmir does. Zab didnt really fade in this fight until he got caught in the 7th too. And even then he was still landing some serious leather, just taking more.

whereas Fattons bodybag work is to prepare him for being able to stand flatfooted..... with little in the way of lateral movement..... in front of a stationary opponent..... and whale at his midsection indiscriminately for 3 minutes.

I think that there were a few reasons Hatton lost to Floyd.

i). He left his gameplan and started throwing only head-shots against a fighter they are ineffective with.

ii). He didnt use his jab to get inside.

iii). The referee stopped him from taking the fight as close quarters as he wanted. Admonishing and frustrating him constantly, while seemingly leaving Floyd completely unwarned.

iv). Floyd is the better fighter and fought the better fight.


Thats the completely serious and sensible critique of the fight and the reason why I still think that Hatton COULD win against Floyd, but doubt that he would, even if they fought a couple more times.

i) lmfao he wasn't landing any effective headshots but he couldn't land any body shots either because floyd was blocking and countering them with effective right hands and they were quick counters too
