This is simple. Cotto doesn't like to get hit, and he doesn't like to be pressured. Margarito is going to hit him and pressure him from bell to bell. This fight is not only not going to go the distance - it's not going to last very long, at all. If Cotto can come back from ***** street 8 times or 10 times - we will see him on ***** street 8 times or 10 times.

This fight just might ruin Miguel Cotto as a fighter. The more he endures the more he's going to get hurt. The best possible case scenario for this will be like a Trinidad/Vargas, with Cotto in the role of Vargas - but like I said; it shouldn't last that long.

We here on the forum detailed conclusively that Cotto was not hurt in the late rounds against Mosley. Cotto friends and foes alike concurred on the issue. People like myself were saying a year before that fight that jumping on Cotto was the way to beat him. Shane Mosley illustrated the basic reality of it. Margarito is the worst possible style matchup for Cotto in the sport of Boxing P4P. It's a farce and a setup. A joke, and soon to be a blowout..
Cotto doesnt like to get hit? Have you even seen Cotto's fights? Just because he chose to oubox the **** out of Mosley for tha last 3 rounds, doesnt mean, that he doesnt like to get hit!. WHat happen with the judah fight,or the Torres fight,or pinto fight. You just hating men. comparing Cotto to Vargas when he fought Tito. Redicuolus! Vargas had only 20 fights and he was unexperience when he fought a Prime Tito. Cotto is about to get to his peak,he is in his prime. And well experienced! And MArgarito is not Tito Trinidad. You will see Cotto dictating the fight! Brawling when ever he wants and outboxing the **** out fo Margarito when ever he wants. Cotto TKO 9. Left Hook to the Body! Again!

All I know is if Cotto wins and wins big then he's the real deal most definitely and should be labeled as Champ at 147 by Ring Magazine. His P4P also goes up a couple of ranks between 2 and 4.
If Cotto beats Margarito.. Beats the guy that both Mosley and Mayweather ducked for 8 million dollars.. Man.. I would get on my knees and bow the **** down. Real talk.

I sincerely believe that Cotto is getting railroaded by Top Rank on this matchup. It's an 80's movie scenario if Cotto wins. I will stand up and clap in my livingroom if Miguel somehow beats him.

If I'm at ringside I will rush into the ring and put Cotto up on my shoulders and parade him around the arena..

I know alot of people know he's up against it with this one. It would be incredible. This is it. He can be great.

I will take down my sig and never say another thing against him, because I will truly be his fan.

It depends on the eye of the beholder.

I think he is underrated by most, overrated by VIVA.

Wow, I'm quite surprised at that post Addy....? You really think he will blow out Cotto that easy? Interesting. I don't know if he will or not as I admit I haven't actually watched much of Margarito's fights and can't say either way whether I think he is overrated or underrated. Nonetheless, I do know one thing and that is that it will be a good fight. I think I might disagree with your view of how it will go though, not so in the actual winner of it but in how it will be won. I think it will go the distance, but, I don't know who will win.

The real idiots are the ones who point to his five losses as a flaw when three of them are when he was under 18, the same age that the other top welters were fighting three rounders with headgear.
and thats a good ****en point you put out there for those ididots who know nothing....he was fighting grown men while he was still a young teen!!good post my friend.

I wish, I'm really pulling for Cotto this time. I'd love to see him prevail.

Sadly, it will not happen under any circumstances. None.

I really dont know what to think of him yet. Hes a good fighter but he hasnt faced a lot of different opposition all of them were really the same, stand in front of him, dont really use the ring.I havent seen margo deal with a person that does use the ring and with faster hand speed. If your going to stand infront of him of course margo will be great at beating your ass but we will see after july if hes the real deal or just overhyped. But he is a tough SOB i will give him that.

...and to addison...what fighter does like to get hit?...isnt the point of the game is to hit and not get hit...you could say the same thing for floyd too then. But cotto does recover fast when he does get hit.
