call it what you want to call it but that guy made alot of sense in that posts and was speaking the truth. Nate doesn't have enough pull to be saying **** like that. Even though it's good in a sense that someone says something like that its not good for nate to be the one saying it though. THE LAST THING YOU WANT TO DO IS **** YOURSELF!!!!! Especially when you've been a road warrior your whole life not really making much money bagging groceries he could have made more money then he's mad his whole career with one fight against marquez. You have to look at the big picture. Fighting Marquez in November would mean a lot less money than fighting Pacquiao in November. If Campbell fights Marquez in November, then any hope of fighting Pacquiao goes down the drain. Pacquiao is aligned with Bob Arum, not Golden Boy, so any business with GBP and Nate Campbell isn't appurtenant.

Marquez isn't the ATM machine Pacquiao is, plus beating Pacquiao is a bigger statement than beating Marquez, who is coming off of an L.

Would it have been better if Campbell waited until Golden Boy sent out a press release saying that Campbell was afraid of Marquez? No, it wouldn't have been.
He made a preemptive strike and gained a lot of public favor by calling GBP on it's bluffs.

Campbell isn't acting like a superstar. If he was, then he wouldn't be calling people out. What champion do you see calling out the contenders? He knows he has to make noise to get these guys in the ring with him.

Golden Boy has set up a mini lightweight tournament with every GBP fighter and excluded Campbell. Then they try to box Campbell out of a payday with Pacquiao so they can put one of their guys (Casamayor, Katsidis, Juan Diaz) in that slot and cash in.

If Campbell sits on the sidelines for 7-8 months, he is going to be rusty and not be as sharp as he could be. He'd also be missing out on the Pacquiao showdown, which would likely be for all of the belts. Should Campbell get the showdown with Pacquiao, he would likely make 4-5 million for it. Why settle for the short money and be used as a pawn?

Fighters who keep their mouth shut and let the promoters **** all over them wind up recycled and kicked to the curb. I applaud Campbell for taking his fate into his own hands.

maybe campbell needs a new promoter??? All these scenarios sound nice but is talking like this really going to get him pacquiao???? I don't think so. Is talking like this going to get himself screwed over. yes. As much as he might hate it, GBP is very powerful and as you can see they can make things happen for their fighters. I never said Marquez wasn't a big fight. I said Pacquiao is a much bigger fight financially.

Why do you say there is "no way" Campbell gets a fight with Pacquiao? That would completely contradict this ESPN article.

Macau Casino in China? Sounds like a lot more money on the table than the Marquez fight. If Bob Arum has already stated verbally that the fight is a real possibility then Campbell has a real shot of landing the fight. Campbell is taking a lot of steam out of GBP by completely circumventing them and The Ring title and fighting for all of the belts on a larger event than GBP could have put together.

Should Campbell fight Pacquiao, that would be the worst blow to GBP and would discredit the Ring Magazine title.
