Campbell is as smart and shrewd a businessman, as well as fighter, as anyone will ever see. He has been through a lot of bull in the business and won't let himself be victim to it anymore.

Golden Boy offered Marquez not because that was the best fight in boxing, but because it would keep Campbell out of the running for Pacquiao's November date.

It is attitudes like yours that have fractured the belts and kept boxing from grabbing its deserved glory. You sound like De La Hoya the businessman.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS, NATE!

The business side of boxing seems more ****ed up than the music industry. Why do people hate on Don King so much when people like Arum, Shelly Finkel and others have robbed just as many fighters as King has?

There is alot of truth to that. If nate was a smart man he would haven't said all that. Sometimes you have to just bite your tongue and hold back your words. In this instance nate might have ****ed his ownself over. That's good to speak your mind say the truth but something about $$$$$$$$$$$ signs tells me i rather stay quite sometimes lol

Then how come more fighters have sued Don King for money stolen from them than all the other promoters combined?

call it what you want to call it but that guy made alot of sense in that posts and was speaking the truth. Nate doesn't have enough pull to be saying **** like that. Even though it's good in a sense that someone says something like that its not good for nate to be the one saying it though. THE LAST THING YOU WANT TO DO IS **** YOURSELF!!!!! Especially when you've been a road warrior your whole life not really making much money bagging groceries he could have made more money then he's mad his whole career with one fight against marquez. You got to be smart and know what's best for you and your family you cant be ignorant enough to **** your ownself over out of A LOT OF CASH that would have made life better for you and your family.

Would it have been better if Campbell waited until Golden Boy sent out a press release saying that Campbell was afraid of Marquez? No, it wouldn't have been.
He made a preemptive strike and gained a lot of public favor by calling GBP on it's bluffs.

In boxing terms, they call this being first.

He said GBP won't be corrupt but instead they are trying to keep the Ring Belt at 135 defend against their own men and prevent it to people like Nate and other fighters not on their roster.

                    Oscar-Floyd 2

Oscar said WBC will not be on the line..

Expect Oscar to put the Ring Belt on the line at 150 against Floyd

**** them they are trying to protect the ring belt from Casa losing on Nate.

If Ring Magazine recognizes a fight at 150 lbs as a welterweight title fight, their credibility goes down the toilet.
