Take out Whitaker (he was not in his prime) and add Vargas. That makes the list 100% accurate.

God Quartey would kill Floyd IMO. That jab was BRUTAL! Just the wrong thing for Floyd to have to deal with.

      Yes....

Floyd fought Hatton, Judah, Castillo, Corralles, Manfredy, Chavez and Hernandez all in their prime.

He also called out Mosley, Zu and OSCAR when they were in their primes..they all bitched up.

a rematch would be in order for COTTO VS. MARGARITO.... for sometime in December or early next year......
        and if Cotto Wins..

Cotto would probably have to fight Margarito one more time to break the tie and to build his hype back up again after losing to a 5 lost Margarito.

and by that time it would be late into 2009....

So if Cotto and Margarito are tie up for all 2008....

Who should Floyd Fight...that would be a impressive win universally...
because everybody knows cotto is the only fighter left in the WW division that would be a impressive win for Floyd.... Universally .....???
We're not exactly talking how Margarito would beat Cotto and how Cotto would beat him back are we?

Lets assume that Margarito pulls off a close decision upset and Cotto manages to either beat him more convincing in the rematch or even knocks him out. Then a third fight isn't necessary.

Certain fights don't require a third fight like Lewis - Rahman.....you just know who the better guy is. I for one know Cotto is better then Margarito.

Dweins your a good poster....but the jab thing is overrated...

It worked ONLY because Floyd wasnt expecting it....since when is Oscar sir-jab-alot....After Floyd figured his ass out and countered him Oscar never launched another jab the rest of the fight.

I'm sorry Dwiens but Quartey is not a great fighter. Floyd would handle him.

I can listen to guys make a case for a prime Chavez, a prime Whitaker......no problem, those guys are great and have proven their skills with big victories over and over.

Quartey isn't on that level and he isn't big enough to beat Floyd. You wanna talk jabs. When I think of Floyd losing for certain, I always think above jr.middleweight like Winky Wright. Personaly I think Winky beats him 8 or 9 rounds to 3 for Floyd tops. Too big and too good for Floyd.

Oscar has been sir-jab-a-lot for quite a while in reality.

Floyd tries to be Whitaker by quickly getting out of the way of shots, but since a quick jab is so short and well... quick, he seems to have trouble with it. The Judah jab got him quite a few times too.

I guess it is kind of premature to dismiss Floyd against any fighter with a great jab, but for some reason, I do feel like that is going to be the death of him one of these days.

Well I think Winky beats him too (of course).

Idk, I thought Quartey looked damn good in his losses to Oscar and Forrest... neither of which should have been losses IMO.

Quartey outjabbing Oscar was DAMN impressive to my eyes. And **** George Foreman for his commentary during that fight. Nuthugging at its absolute finest in that fight.

Most of his fights have been fought at welterweight and jr.middle and that makes him the bigger framed guy. For the Floyd fight, he was like 164 four weeks before the fight.

He is not only taller but NATURALLY the bigger guy. Inches have nothing to do with it. Mike Tyson is only 5'11 yet he is the Bigger guy then Paul Williams or Magarito or anybody 6feet tall below the heavyweight division. Extreme example but I had to use Tyson once people start talking heigh and inches when comparing who the bigger guy is.
if u can make the weight ur good to go being naturally bigger doesnt mean anything by your logic then i guess all paul williams has done is cheating cuz he is naturally bigger than the guys at welterweight
mayweather goal was to reach as much titles as possible if he could he woulda gone after the featherweight title
and being an all time great has nothing to do with titles oscar is remembered for taking on the best julio cesar chavez miguel angel gonzales tito hopkins quartey whitaker mosley even if he lost thats what his legacy is not how much titles he collected
example manny pacquiao is a guy that started at miniflyweight he coulda collected all the titles up to lightweight making a total of 8 but cuz he is not a fighter that was meant to be succesfull he had to earn his fame fighting the bigger guys and he will be remembered by who he defeated not how many titles he coulda won or how naturally little he was
