LMAO Floyd Mayweather fans are the worst there is. The difference between Mayweather and Jones is Mayweather lets people hit him on his elbows and shoulders while Jones just doesn't let anyone hit him at all. Mayweather even in blocking Pavlik's shots would feel them and would get knocked out eventually.

26 dellusional Floyd nuthuggers have been exposed so far.

This is the beauty of having public polls.

Hmmmm... I dont think this is as simple as such. Mayweather's skills and quickness is the best in boxing today, and although Pavliks skills tend to be underrated then skill-wise and in terms of footwork the edge clearly would belong to PBF. The big difference comes in weight and power. As for power PBF is severely outgunned especially considering the fight being at 160.

The question is if Pavlik would be able to land the big shots. And that is a considerable if IMO. I could see a decision for PBF but ultimately I would have to go with Pavlik by late stoppage.

Roy Jones didn't have to take many flush shots against Ruiz because he doesn't get hit with his defence. Mayweather's defence is all about blocking shots, he still takes them.. Whoever voted for Mayweather here are ****ing ******s.

Pavlik....duh. THat doesn't mean Floyd Mayweather isn't lightyears ahead of Kelly Pavlik, size/height difference wouldn't work out. If Floyd was 6' and 160, I'd say he'd knock Pavlik TFO, but that's not the case

Floyd is one of the most talented fighters there has ever been. Pavlik is simply a guy at the top of his division at this moment in time. He isn't a great boxer, he has some pop and alot of heart but he is light years away from floyd in terms of talent.

This fight would be a complete mismatch if you Floyd was an inside fighter who was going to stand and trade.

Of course Floyd gets knocked out if he gets hit on the chin, but how many times have we seen floyd get hit on the chin by fighters with more speed than Pavlik?

Just because a guy outweighs you by 20lbs doesn`t mean he can automatically knock you out, he has to catch you first.

Floyd defence and ring craft would give him a decent shot at winning on points, i think this would be a 50-50 fight, but i voted for Floyd because Wlad Owns would ask Klitschko to marry him if he could.

Another great post by a great poster! I'd give you more K but I can't.

I think Pavlik would win by KO but Floyd might be able to get a UD. I honestly think that Pavlik's size and power would get the best of Floyd though. Kelly is a BIG middle weight and Floyd is not a big welter weight.

This is why I'm over at east-side(as well as Sweet Pete) and other more knowledgeable sites most of the time, because of stuff like this. Pavlik is too big for Mayweather, period. Mayweather is not a middleweight and barely made it past a slightly natural bigger fighter in De La Hoya that was past his prime and use pressure tactics. Pavlik is a volume puncher that wouldn't respect Mayweather's power. Even if he doesn't land, he would simply throw punches and game consists of pressuring his opponents he making them work. Oscar's reach also gave Mayweather hell and he landed his jab at will. Think about it, If Mayweather came in at middleweight(past his weight class) then how would he maintain the stamina to fight a fast paced fight against a natural middleweight(with the frame of a light heavyweight) for the entire fight? It wouldn't happen. There is no way that you can take a natural junior welterweight and match him against 6'2 power/volume puncher that pressures you for every minute of every round that has a great chin as well. What do i have to say to that? Pavlik TKO 8.

                      http://www.sptimes.com/2005/07/22/Sp...ther_bou.shtml

"Because Wright, who prefers to fight at 160, could probably put on as many as 15 pounds between the weigh-in (the day before) and the fight and enter the ring as high as 165-170, Mayweather's camp requested a morning-of-the-fight weigh-in. That included a stipulation that Wright couldn't go more than eight pounds above the limit."

Assuming that Pavlik is allowed to weigh-in the day before the fight, how much of a size advantage would Pavlik retain by going up to 172+, while Mayweather weighed in at 150 for Oscar de la Hoya?

Mayweather saw the size difference against Wright as a serious obstacle, how more so would it be against a prime Pavlik who just beat Taylor at 166?
                      Does anyone care to refute?
